Unprofessional. Gave my appt to someone else
Very unreliable. Do not recommend. Colonoscopy and Endoscopy, suppose to be next Tuesday. I've been receiving confirmation requests and to fill out Health Assessment forms for two weeks. Which I have answered every time. This morning first I a get a text message to confirm for a different date. I call the office, they assure me I still have my original appointment. 15 minutes later they call me back and say I never had my original appointment someone else did. I do not believe this for one second. Why all the confirmations and filling out forms. Now they can't give me an appointment till February 26, another two months. The fury I have right now. On a professional or health level I also have complaints. The fibroscan confirmed I have fatty liver. Confirmation did not manage my now chronic life long condition. They just said lose more weight and come back for a recheck in a year. Anyone who has ever read anything about fatty liver knows there is a strict diet. No confidence.

Avoid at all costs
I was gravely disappointed with the experience I last had as Dr. Martin’s Crohn’s patient in 2020. I have been too angry to say anything the last few years, but it’s time. When I had breast cancer in 2020, she did not return my oncologist’s calls to coordinate treatment, and because of that, I had to walk around missing a breast without receiving breast reconstruction. I found a Crohn’s specialist, who coordinated and approved my breast reconstruction immediately. But, this added an additional major surgery and recovery to my cancer treatment plan. Dr. Martin’s team was also absolutely miserable to deal with. Moreover, in the 15 years I’d had active Crohn’s under Dr. Martin’s care, she said that I would need 2 open surgeries and an ileostomy bag if I ever needed surgery. By switching to another doctor, I was able to receive 1 laparoscopic surgery with NO bag and I have been in remission ever since. I am so grateful to be where I am now, but it is with zero thanks to Dr. Martin.

Worst medical care ever!!
This Dr and her staff do not care about their patients! Had enoscopy in July 22 and Dr Martin told me I needed meds for my chronic stomach illness but she was so busy that day, she would call me later to discuss. She never did. All of my multiple calls pleading to SPEAK to Dr were ignored. Instead, I get a call from Dr. Martin,‘s office telling me they want to schedule me to see Dr. Martin, for her first available appointment to which I tell them how grateful I am. At that point they give me an appointment in February which is seven months after my upper endoscopy was completed. So that’s all these months I’ve been in pain and I’m currently trying to get medical records so I can see someone else but the office again is extremely impossible to deal with

Few weeks later ended in hospital and was diagnosed by another GI with crohns who said I have had it for at least 2 decades. This Dr Didn’t listen was rushed and didn’t seem to care I was in obvious pain.

I am in my late seventies and have a pre-existing condition which makes me especially vulnerable to Covid 19. I needed a refill for a prescription and was told I needed a visit with Dr. Martin. She refilled the prescription but I had to make an appointment. Due to the recent surge of Covid 19, I called the day before and asked if I could have a telemedicine appt. I was told I needed to come in when it was for a prescription refill. When I arrived I was told I had an appointment with the nurse. The nurse said that she was going to schedule a colonoscopy. I said I didn't want one. She said that's all she could do. Dr. Martin wasn't there and I would have to schedule an appt. to have my questions answered and to review my prescriptions. I was not told previously that this was what the appointment was for. I was brought in under false pretenses. They did say I wouldn't be charged for the visit. I am quite concerned that I could have been exposed to Covid 19 for no reason!

I was a patient of Dr. Martin's for 2 gastroenterology related tests, after referral by my primary care doctor. I had extensive delays in working with Dr. Martin - I encountered weeks of delay in getting tests scheduled, and the results were also weeks before I heard from her office. I have email access to their office, and her PA was attempting to be helpful, but the doctor was MIA. I had 2 in person encounters with Dr. Martin and she was informative and helpful.

Yesterday, I had a colonoscopy with Dr. Martin in Sarasota. When I arrived for the procedure, I was informed that Dr. Martin was running about an hour late due to office patients that needed special care. Of course I was upset after following the timetable set up for my procedure, but once the delay was over Dr. Martin was very professional and took her time with my procedure. She and her staff were expert in their treatment of me and I could not be happier with the outcome. Dr. Martin is great.

Extremely difficult time getting in to see the Doctor for what I deemed an urgent issue, ended up with her PA who then consulted with the Dr. who followed up with colonoscopy. I was told to follow-up with an appointment in 2 months, the earliest appointment was 3.5 months and my problem was never addressed. Too many patients to see in too little time.
