I've tried her twice. I believe in giving professionals a chance. I'm convinced she's just not a caring physician. During visits she doesn't listen. She talks more than you. She comes off as vial and suspicious. She does return messages or phone calls. It sucks for patients in severe pain. The front desk staff treats you like a criminal. People sitting in the halls waiting is not very welcoming. The whole theme of the West Plano office makes you feel like you walked into a public low income clinic. The checkin lady was abrasive & loud. Pointing down the hall to tell me where to sit and wait. I will never visit this place again for any health concerns.

New Patient First impressions
I needed to change physician because my nurse practitioner I was seeing no longer met my healthcare needs and I wanted my medications reevaluated. She was very warm and personable. She provided a thorough examination. She asked me probing and highly relevant questions that challenged my thinking regarding my health. She challenge me to seek a mental health provider for my mental high medication needs. This was something that I had been trying to get around doing, but she gave me the push I needed to actually get it done. As a 52 year-old male, I need a health care professional that is not afraid to challenge me. She just the provider that I needed. I am willing to drive to Plano, TX from Lancaster, Tx to see her.

Massive waste of time and money
Misdiagnosed my wife persistent cough as allergies and sent us back with useless medication, she continues to suffer from continuing dry cough and we had to go to a different provider - this new provider correctly identified it as bacterial and gave us antibiotics and steroids based medicines. How do we trust such doctors if they cannot figure a bacterial vs a general seasonal allergy.

Dr. Lester is very knowledgeable and thorough. She's not aggressive about forcing medications and surgeries. She's easy to understand and available. To my delight, she even called me on a Friday night to follow up on my treatment. I would recommend her to my family and friends.

She screamed at me for asking for an alternative antibiotic because the standard one was not working. I mean do you really have to yell and scream and make your patient who is already sick feel even crappier?

I really like Dr Lester. Not only is she very nice, but she actually looks for the root of the problem rather than just automatically prescribing meds. She talk to you about other items that may be resulting in your symptoms. She is by no means a bit-medication, but she knows that is not the only way to feel better. Her staff has always been great. I highly recommend her.

Dr. Lester is a wonderful person and physician who took the time to understand my medical history and help "risk stratify" me. It really helped me understand how I should best focus my efforts to keep myself safe and healthy in the years ahead. As a physician myself, I would like to believe I know good medicine when I see it - and I'm so glad that I ended up with Dr. Lester as my doctor.
