I felt I was truly cared for. All concerns were addressed and questions answered. Our plan was followed and I healed well. This was the easiest recovery of the 3 c-sections I've had.

Had a few appointments with him when i was engaged and first married and was never comfortable. I was having some scary low moods and suspected it was my hormone changes from my birth control pill. I made an appointment to talk about different non hormonal options. As I explained my bouts of depression like symptoms, I broke down crying. The first thing out of his mouth is that he can put me on anti- depressant. I had made it clear I was looking for a different options than the pill and reiterated this, he then went on to say how inconvenient condoms are, and how they "ruin the moment" and any other options where too expensive for me to afford. Feeling dejected, I agreed to try an adjusted estrogen level pill. Doesn't listen to your wants/needs, terrible bedside manner, inappropriate, and makes you feel less then. Will never go back.

He was my doctor through pregnancy, labor, delivery, and postpartum "recovery" (up to 2 months). He did not listen. He seemed annoyed and bored each visit. During labor he said he would wait until the epidural was placed to break my water, but came in early and broke my water before the epidural was given. His checks were rough. So much that the nurses apologised for him after every one. At one check he pulled out an internal monitor and blamed the nurse for placing it in the vagina. Everyone in the room saw the baby's heartbeat on the screen until he pulled the monitor, so clearly the nurse had done it correctly. He did not tell us that our baby's clavical was broken during delivery, so we did not know until she stopped nursing due to pain 27 hours later and was xrayed. During recovery, he told me my extreme pain was due to "sensitivity". After 2 months of this I saw another doctor. He had to cut out & redo the vaginal stitches as those Nielsen placed were misalligned & not healing.

I have very mixed feelings about this provider. He took the time to explain things to me, but I didn't feel comfortable with the exam. He was too close, and his body leaned into mine in a very awkward manner. Instead of standing between my legs during the exam, he was off to the side, leaning part of his torso into mine. No doctor has ever leaned into me quite like that, and while there was a female nurse in the room, and I didn't feel good about this interaction.
