Cautiously aggressive in fighting the disease
Dr. Gupta was a blessing to our family. Before we found her, my father was being treated by an uninvolved neurologist, who did not adequately address his Parkinson's symptoms. We dumped that neurologist, as the disease progress and found Dr. Gupta. She immediately adjusted his medicine, which stopped his Parkinson's "freezing," and she gave scripts for LSVT swallow and speech therapy as well as occupational therapy. When we found her, my father was choking when he swallowed liquids. After the therapy, he was able to drink without choking. She followed him closely, and he did as well as could be expected with her involvement. She made a huge impact on improving his day-to-day life.

Good and helpful
Dr Gupta had already reviewed my husband's medical records prior to our arriving and was familiar and ready to work with him. She did a very thorough exam, listen to him and offered very good feedback and information. She was thorough and on point all the while being very friendly and caring. She provided us with a referral and also set up for a social worker to get in touch and set up specialized physical therapy to address some of his issues. If social worker was in touch with my husband two days after our visit and set everything up for him to have his physical therapy and did follow up. You're very pleased with the care that Dr Gupta gave us and highly recommend her.

She’s pretty useless. Told me that I had an essential tremor, that nothing could be done, and that it wasn’t that bad. No treatments, not even a mention of propranolol. So bad. I would not recommend. She’s just not helpful.

She was incredibly condescending and insisted on telling me how I felt instead of asking. She seemed more interested in making me someone else’s problem than really listening to me and figuring out what was wrong. She doesn’t follow up, and is impossible to get ahold of. She wouldn’t even respond to my other doctors.

Dr. Gupta treated my husband for a few years. He had taken a fall and broke a vertebrae as well as having an essential tremor. She persisted in treating him for Parkinsonism features, even when there was no improvement and continued deterioration. She never did an MRI to see if there was any damage from the fall. Nor pursued any other avenues! Just because the bone healed did not mean it healed well. Turns out he had signification spinal compression which did permanent damage. I would never ever recommend her.

Dr. Gupta and her entire staff could not have been more attentive. She was kind listened to my concerns and spent time explaining what I may expect.

My 90-year old father has Parkinson's. We started with another Parkinson's specialist in another town and were not happy with them. Then we found Dr. Gupta. First and foremost, Dr. Gupta is competent. She has been so kind to my Dad and so encouraging. Dr. Gupta is very knowledgeable about the disease, but she treats the person. My dad is in good hands. The overall office environment is great - very efficient, we rarely wait more than a few minutes.

Wouldn't wish Dr. Gupta on my worst enemy. Totally cold and uncaring. Claims to be a movement disforeder expert but cares much more about her media appearances. Totally uncaring and after we left the practice have heard multiple horror stories about her, stay away!
