Dr. Fernando Kwiatkowski, MD

He is cold and condescending. An absolute travesty of a 'doctor.' He goes out of his way to try to make you feel stupid. Also rarely on time. The way he gets openly frustrated and condescending at a patient is alarming and unacceptable. Least caring doctor I have ever seen by a large margin.

He’s always 20 minutes late. My biggest disappointment with him is he promised to send my PCP a list of procedures he wanted me to have done before he prescribed me any medication immediately after our phone call. Two weeks later my PCP still has not received anything from Dr. K. I even called the receptionist and left a message to remind Dr. K to send his evaluation with the fax number of my PCP. My PCP still has not received anything from him. I feel like I wasted time & money seeing him. I now have to find another psychiatrist that takes my insurance. I do not recommend him.

I loved my visit with Dr. K. He gave me really great advice that has worked so well for me. I will continue my visits with Dr. K.

I don't know why Dr k. Is getting a lot of bad reviews, I've been seeing him for at least 10 years and he has helped me through a lot of drama and loss. He's put me on a few medications which help tremendously. And he's helping me lower the dose on one of the meds and get me off of it so I don't get addicted. He's always been a good listener he remembers everything I tell him, and I would recommend him to anyone. He has a little accent so maybe that's why people don't understand him but to say he's not a good Dr is very damaging to him. He's am excellent Dr whip cares about his patients and so what if you have to wait for a while in the waiting room, it's like that at most Dr's appointments.. That means if he's running a little late it's because he spent a few extra minutes helping another patient. Dr k is awesome and I'd really recommend him!! Margie

I was seeing Dr. K for about 4-5 years to treat my bulimia. Each time I had to wait 30-45 mins after my scheduled appointment. He was always running late. Also, he's not very personable. He talks over you and the visits are very transactional and habitual. I wanted to get off a certain medication because I felt empowered enough to stop. Each time, I attempted to bring up wanting to stop taking the medication, he'd say it was a terrible idea. After several attempts, I finally decided to get off them. I also stopped seeing him. Very condescending man.

Always runs at least 20 minutes late. Always. No compassion for patient. He’s only concerned with meds. A bit judgemental. If you are looking for a caring doctor, this is not your man. Also, his office staff is horrible. Never a sense of urgency or concern if you have a prescription issue. They are routinely curt and short with patients.

I do not know why Dr. K was given such bad reviews. I’ve been a patient for over 15 years and thanks to him I’m able to cope with whatever challenges come my way. He has helped me through a loss of a job, my husband dying, my sister dying and many more problems. He CARES for his patients and you can call him anytime and he responds quickly. I recommend him to anyone looking for a wonderful Psychiatrist. Pat

He is one of the worst doctors I have ever had. He never listens to his patients and has a bad temper. I can't believe someone who is supposed to be helping his patients is this impatient. I was treated just like another can on a conveyor belt.

I agree with Maria. I was also a client of Dr. Kwiatkowski. Very arrogant and made derogatory remarks to my opinion or concern. I doubt very much we had communication problem. He has an excellent command of the English Language. I had to call my provider to be able to change psychiatrists. Not an easy thing to do, but worth the effort in the end.

CONDESCENDING Human Being Lack of listening skills, ready to diagnose without a comprehensive knowledge of patient history, SPECIALLY when this person is looking for advice in a delicate time in her life. Do yourself a Favor: Ask for a caring NOT an INSENSITIVE, NOT an Arrogant professional. I am not a person who likes to bring the unhealthy choices of human beings, I felt compelled to help other patients skip this unhealthy experience.
