Poor Follow Through - Office Staff
I saw Dr Agbo at the hospital after an emergency admission. He was VERY personable and communicated my condition very well. At discharge he stressed how important it was for him to follow up with me within a week. He told me to tell his office staff this when I called to schedule this follow up. I called 3 days in a row and was finally told they'd reach me. They never did. I went back to my home state to see my primary care.

Impossible to get through for anything!!
When my husband and first started seeing Dr. Agbo, we had no problem making an appointment or getting a prescription refilled. Now that this practice has grown (with two more doctors), one has to actually go to the office to make an appointment or get prescriptions refilled. I had a urine culture done due to a UTI. Two weeks later, I finally got a phone call from his office to let me know the culture was okay! Good thing!! I have left voicemails asking for appointments and/or refills that are not answered until days later. I was actually told to go to urgent care as there were no appointments available! Another thing. I have to go back to see Dr. Mercier every 3 months, even if I feel well!! If I don't, they won't renew my prescriptions. I have never had to go see a doctor every three months before this practice. Very disappointed as we were both really pleased when we first came to his practice 3 years ago! Looking for another doctor.

He had a 4 star rating on here & it states that he’s accepting new patients. DON’T waste your time! I called his office & per the automated answering system, pushed the extension number for new patients. Left my name & phone number. This was on April 15, 2022. It is currently June 6, 2022, and I have yet to receive a call from his office. Read the reviews again, and they’re over 1 year old.

Dr. Agbo is a very pleasant person and very thorough. Occasionally you have to ask him to slow down a little bit, but he’s moving so fast because he is so busy. He just smiles and he does. He also has a female doctor affiliate for us ladies that prefer a female doctor for some exams. His staff is always pleasant, and a pleasure to see. I’m glad he’s my doctor.

I've been seeing Dr. Agbo for about 10 years and he is always focused on me during a visit, answering any questions I have and explaining any findings he has. He takes care to evaluate your entire wellbeing, and treats what is needed without over-treating. He is extremely knowledgeable and experienced and has a very positive attitude and ready smile. His staff is generally good but occasionally needs reminders to follow up on referrals or prescriptions.

I needed a new doctor and Dr Agbo was my mom's doctor for a short while. I found him to be very efficient and easy to talk to. He is a very upbeat and knowledgeable guy. So my wife and I have become his patients now, and although we have had just one visit so far, we are extremely happy to have him as our doctor. Side note, Dr Agbo and his staff took all extreme precautions during this appointment in the middle of this pandemic. We were very happy.

I have been looking for a decent Internal Medicine doctor for several years. I liked the reviews and made an appointment. Unfortunately, this Covid stuff hit about the time of my appointment and it had to be a phone call. No video. He could not see me, I could not see him. Didn’t care for that, but I did like the doctor and he seemed very knowledgeable about CKD. He ordered more labs for 6 weeks out and stated he wanted to see me the end of May. Called the office and they are not even seeing patients in office yet. It’s June 3! I don’t know of any other dr offices that are not bothering to see, actually SEE their patients in person! Not thrilled. How terrified are they? Come on people. Get with the program.
