One of the most experienced physicians in ATL
I had a genuinely great experience with Dr. Fayyaz Haq. He’s incredibly knowledgeable, but what stood out even more was how much he actually listens. He took the time to walk me through everything, made sure I understood my options, and never made me feel rushed. It’s rare to find a doctor who’s both professional and kind, and Dr. Haq strikes that balance really well. I left feeling confident, cared for, and grateful to have found someone I trust with my health.Highly recommend.

Best and most competent doctor in the world
he made the correct diagnosis. What he did not know he told us. If you follow his directions, you will definitely do better. If you don’t follow his directions, then you have nobody to blame but yourself.

Dangerous misdiagnosis!
We were new to Atlanta and needed to be seen quickly. I went with my husband to his appointment. He had been experiencing some really confounding symptoms. Low grade fever, night sweats, brain fog and random excruciating pain. Haq paid absolutely zero attention to the symptoms, saying it just might be long covid but ignored that as a possibility. He ordered blood tests and a brain scan, and the only thing he commented on was a hike in his blood sugar. He said he’d give him a pamphlet on diabetes and see him in a couple of months. This is too long to write, but my husband had a life threatening blood infection (sepsis) and after 6 months and hospitalization he is now fully recovered. Just a side note. Blood sugar rises with a blood infection.

I’m so happy he’s my doctor
One of the best doctors I ever met. He listened to me and answered my questions and took the time to explain my lab work when It returned. I saw him because I was referred to him by my office friend. I’m so happy she referred me to this doctor. A lot of people I have met in my office. Have gone to Dr. Haq and they just love him.

I had a terrible experience with Dr. Haq from beginning to end. I saw him for an annual physical. He was short with me, rude, and didn't listen. Also, his intake nurse was incompetent and the front desk staff was completely checked out. When my test results came back, I had some questions. He never responded. Stay away from Piedmont Physicians on Collier Rd. and from Dr. Haq.

Health Suffered Under His Care - Finding New Dr.
I've been seeing Dr. Haq since 2012, and I've always felt torn about his care. On the one hand, you can always be seen pretty quickly and don't have to wait in the office long. Dr. Haq seems to order the right tests you need or want. On the other hand, he has a poor bedside manner. He can be friendly at times and moody and impersonal at other times. No matter his mood, he consistently lacks empathy and sympathy and shows a combination of amusement, annoyance, and disregard for any anxiety you may feel about something going on. For years, I've put up with this having decided that if I at least have good care, I can deal with the undesirable manner. However, I've recently realized that Dr Haq has been ignoring some glaring health problems that have caused me some real issues now. So, subpar care with poor manner = finding a new dr. I don't know why I've put up with it for so long in retrospect.

Over the last year I've had to go without my medication on over three separate times occasions because either Dr. Haq or his office were too disorganized at best, or at worst negligent, that my prescriptions would not arrive in time or at the correct place. Dr. Haq is a perfect example of how the medical industry, by having pay-to-play practices, are not able to hire the best. The work ethic shown by him and his office would have had anyone else fired at any entry-level job. It is his investment in an industry with educational requirements and certifications that ensures he has a job at the end of the day, not his ability to do a job.

While Dr. Haq seemed very experienced in medicine, however his approach of using fear to convince me to get a COVID vaccination was unprofessional. He spent probably 2-3 solid minutes telling me all the reasons why I needed to get vaccinated and actually said, and I quote, "you have two choices, get the vaccine or get COVID". Wrong!! It IS NOT a foregone conclusion that everyone will get COVID. Dr Haq also ordered a chest x-ray for me when my EKG was fine and my oxygen level was at 98%. Sorry - but no. Also - he said he wanted me to take cholesterol medicine since my levels were (previously) slightly elevated. He said this without even wanting to see the results of the bloodwork from the visit. I'm sorry......but NO. I absolutely hate ANY medical professional asserting that they are the know-all-be-all and that their patients will simply just agree to whatever they say. Sorry but NO.
