I have no idea what happened to me
I went into urgent care at Wayne County Hospital after a concert the night before knocked a kidney stone loose and I was experiencing pain that was unusual for me. Urgent care told me that they would be sending me as a referral for the stone which was now blocking my ureter. I asked if I could just get a copy of the orders so that I could take them to my doctor and go through them. I was told no. So I get a call on Monday telling me that I will be going in for my procedure. As I understood it, I would be getting some sort of sonic treatment to break up the stone and a stent placed to help it pass. I saw the doctor for maybe a minute before the procedure which he did not explain anything and never heard from him again. I have no idea what was done to me while I was under. He never again spoke to me or my husband who was waiting. It's now been 3 days and I have no idea what's going on with my body. All my paperwork says is the generic discharge for a urethra stent.

Originally was referred to a different specialty clinic after a hospital stay, and quickly became frustrated with the first clinic. My wife found Dr. Zafar through reviews, and both she and i could not be happier with the switch. Knowledgable, personable, efficient, accessible, and a no-BS kind of doctor. I was pretty high maintenance at first due to a number of UTI issues, but he and his staff worked seamlessly with unity point at home care to get me the care i needed. Very grateful for Dr. Zafar.

After spending a week going to what I can only describe as a soulless, “big box” urology clinic during a scare, we found doctor Zafar. Amanda, who we explained our situation to over the phone, is one of the most rare, empathetic, and compassionate people we’ve had the fortune of meeting in the medical field. After listening to us (and even calling the other clinic to uncover their blunder) she got us in the same morning we called. On Dr. Zafar’s day off. His candor, genuine attention to my issues, and the time he was willing to spend to help us understand the intricacies of my situation were unmatched. I can only describe his bedside manor as inimitable. Before noon the same day, the tests we’d been waiting on for days from the other clinic were rechecked. An actual, unique treatment plan was formed based on me - not a one-size-fits-all, profitable cookie-cutter method from the larger flashier clinic. We could breathe again. I quite literally teach companies customer service and culture strategies for a living. I mention that only because when I say “I’ve never been more impressed”, I mean it personally and professionally. Trust me, you’ve found the right doctor here.

I was about a half hour late and he still saw me. He is easy to talk to. He is genuinely concerned about my health and if my current protocol is effective. I would refer him to friends and family.

Went to Dr. Zafar after a disappointing experience at another office. Have found him to be very professional, explains things thoroughly, and does not keep you waiting for the results you want to hear. He is very down to earth, explains options, plans for follow up, and insures you understand his explanations. His office staff are great to work with, and made my visits more comfortable. I would recommend Dr. Zafar and his staff to friends and family members.

Our experience was terrible. Went with my husband to the VA hospital. He was assigned to Dr. Zafar. It was very tense, he didn’t introduce himself, was very disrespectful. We didn’t expect warm and fuzzy but wanted a conversation and a path forward. No diagnosis, my husband felt belittled, absolutely no help! Dr. Zafar literally kicked us out. We had to schedule another appointment with another physician (that appointment was very successful). Waste of everyone’s time! Very unhappy.

Dr. Zafar has been a tremendous help with my kidney stones. It was a very painful condition and he got me in the same day and did the treatment. Thankfully the stone broke and I was able to go home the same day. I cannot thank him enough for his care that he gave me.

I had urine problems and could not pee. Eventually I went to the ER and they put a catheter in and sent me to Dr. Zafar. He did tests and recommended surgery. He did the surgery with in a few days and then thankfully had the catheter removed. I have never peed so well!! Excellent Doctor!

I had a lot of pain with kidney stones and was referred to Dr. Zafar from ER. He did the lithotripsy procedure the next day. I passed the stone pieces over the next week and had no pain. He also did my urine test to find out why I am making the stones. Very good Doctor. Recommend him!

I have had ED issues for 10 years since my prostate surgery. Medicine had failed and vacuum pump did not work. I heard about Dr. Zafar from a friend who had a penile implant surgery. I had the surgery done 2 months ago. My sex life is back and I now wonder why did I wait so long. Excellent physician and great bedside manner.

I had a vasectomy done by Dr Zafar. The check in procedure was smooth. Nurses were very helpful. He spent 15 minutes explaining the whole procedure. The vasectomy itself was a breeze. I spent the whole time in conversation and before I knew it the procedure had finished. I had no pain and after the procedure have done well. No hesitation in recommending him or his staff!
