Dr. Farshad Malekmehr, MD

I don't recommend him.

Dr. Malekmehr and Dr. Farin truly may have saved my sister's life. My sister has suffered from severe back issues for several years and has had multiple surgeries that included a lot of hardware implants. These past surgeries were not performed by either Dr. Malekmehr or Dr. Farin but by another surgeon. Unfortunately, these surgeries did not help and made it worse for my sister. Dr. Malekmehr and Dr. Farin just performed a very high-risk, life-threatening surgery on my sister a few days ago to correct her prior surgeries by this other surgeon who left her in debilitating pain. After the second day of surgery this week, my sister was able to take some steps and actually sit up in a chair, which she hasn't been able to do in almost a year. Thank you, Dr. Malekmehr and Dr. Farin for everything you've done for my sister, Lori. Words are not enough to express our thanks and gratitude.

I don't recommend this person. He is a liar.

Best heart surgeon in the Valley! He was caring, compassionate and answered all my questions both before and after surgery. His staff is fantastic. Friends told me to go see a surgeon connected with Cedars but my instincts told me to stay with Dr. Malekmehr. Best decision I ever made!!!

Very nice doctor. Told him my problem with my leg he suggested a procedure had it done all is good so far no problems

I have seen Dr. for about 8 years. He has done two surgeries on me and I recommend him to anyone. He is a great Dr. and I trust him.

Five weeks ago I went through a life-altering experience. After my surgeon's office dismissed my pain, I insisted on getting tested for blood clots. Three large blood clots were found in my upper arm. I took it upon myself to research and find Dr. Malekmehr. He answered me immediately through his website, met with me the following day and performed immediate, emergency surgery to remove the three clots. He was kind, patient with all my questions and concerns, and knowledgeable and thorough. He saved the use of my right arm and my life. I am forever grateful for the work he does and the care he gives to his patients.

Dr Malekmehr is one of the most amazing cardiovascular surgeons in Los Angels. He saved my father after he at a heart attack while all the other doctors said that my he wouldn't make it. He spent the entire night with my father in the ICU until my father stabilized. This doctors dedication to his patients is beyond imagination.

This man should not be called "Doctor" he is the absolute worst !! he was supposed to do a biopsy on a mass in my upper chest but didn't get a piece of the mass and just closed the cut in my throat and I never saw him again ! That night I was choking & couldn't breathe, the nurse called him but he never came back to the hospital ! other doctors confirmed that he didn't get a piece of the mass--maybe he doesn't know the meaning of the word "Biopsy"

I had a very good experience with this doctor. My father was diagnosed with a heart attack and was dying. They had called several surgeons to operate on my father and everyone refused. After a brief discussion and explaining our options, he urgently took my father for bypass surgery. Although my father was in the hospital for 2 weeks, he left as a new man. We are so grateful to Dr. Malekmehr. He was there every step of the way.

My father was rushed to the emergency room where it was discovered that he had an aortic aneurysm. We were told that without surgery, he would not survive and that even with surgery, his chances were slim (only 5% chance of survival). Thank G-d, Dr. Malekmehr was called to operate that night! The operation took all night long and my fathers life was saved. All the hospital staff were impressed with Dr. Malekmehr’s skill. It’s always G-d first, then the miraculous hands he guides to save others.

This man saved my life. With only fifteen minutes left of my life, Dr Malekmehr was able to operate, while I was having a heart attack, and performed a four-way by-pass. His follow through was fantastic. This doctor takes great pride in his work, and I will be forever indebted to him. I wish him a long life. Steven Steinberg

Dr. Malekmehr is kind and gentle. He takes his time with his patients and still runs on time, even with a full waiting room! His staff, Greg and Margarita, are both very good at what they do. The three of them make a perfect team!

On March 2, I was referred to Dr. Malekmehr because an aortic aneurysm was discovered in a ct scan. It was discovered by accident while I was being treated for shoulder pain. Dr. Malekmer scheduled the surgery for Monday, March 6. The surgery went very well, just a few small incisions in the groin area. In just 3 working days, Dr. M fixed the aneurysm in a warm and expert way. I could not be more pleased with Dr. Malekmehr. His smile goes from ear to ear.

This Dr couldn't care less about his patients. The less time spent with the patient, the happier he is. Dr In n Out, IF he decides to even follow up! He DOES love to bill for services not even provided, so patient be very aware!

What an amazing surgeon with great care for his patient. He sure makes you feel comfortable with his caring personality and his hands are magical in the operating room. I was referred to him by another physician and am very happy with his office staff, himself and his recommendations. May god give him strength to help out as many people as he can for many years to come.

Fantastic doctor with a great staff, they were able to schedule me right away. Dr Malekmehr was very knowledgeable and answered everyour question I had and is very easy to talk to.

I had surgery done recently with Dr. Malekmehr to remove my lung cancer. He removed the cancer, and was an excellent doctor overall. He explained the procedures, was always on time, and always available to reach. He truly cared about my well-being, constantly calling and checking up on me. The surgery itself exceeded my expectations. I had a very quick recovery—out of the hospital in 2 days. There were only barely visible small incisions left behind. Very happy to have chosen this doctor.

Dr. Malekmehr is the best surgeon I have ever had. Although he is a busy man, he took the time to explain everything to me. Didn't leave the room until all my questions were answered. Knew I was in good hands when all the nurses said he is the best! Who better to tell you than the nurses who work with him in the O.R.

Dr. Malekmehr came very highly recommended by my other doctors. He is currently treating me for peripheral artery disease. He is extremely competent and has improved the quality of my life. He also shows great compassion and concern for me as his patient.
