Exceptional Care and Compassion
I can't recommend Dr. Farid enough. I saw him at the Queens location, and he’s an exceptional doctor who truly listens to his patients with great care and empathy. He takes the time to understand your concerns and provides a thorough examination to find the best solutions. What stands out about him is that he doesn’t just focus on physical health—he genuinely cares about your mental well-being too, which is so important. Appointments are always on time, and Dr. Farid makes sure to give you as much time as needed, never rushing through your visit. He really goes above and beyond for his patients. I’m so grateful for his care and highly recommend him!

Compassionate and Knowledgeable
Dr. Shahkoohi has been my primary physician for many years. I tend to ask a lot of questions and don’t just take instructions. I find that he is up-to-date on current medical research and takes the time to hear my concerns and answer my questions.

He has ignored my mother and my family
Dr. Shahkoohi is assigned to my mother at South Nassau Communities Hospital--now a part of the Mount Sinai network. He has ignored all requests for information from our family and we are considering litigation. Stay AWAY!!!!!!

No Communication
My mother was hospitalized with pneumonia and was assigned to this doctor. She was there a week and unfortunately never returned. In that time there was ZERO communication with the doctor. Yes, heard from the PA, but never heard anything from this doctor. Not even a condolence phone call. It’s been 4 weeks now and I still don’t know why she had a downturn under their care. I still don’t know if everything that could be done was done. Now a life is lost and my life is forever changed.

Dr Shahkoohi was very respectful and kind during my visits. He carefully explained the plan for my treatment and showed me to how to care for myself while living with my illness. I highly recommend him as my primary physician.

Where do I begin. Dr. Shahkoohi was a family doctor to just about everyone in my family. I have now stepped away from this office and so have a few of my other family members. Many of the receptionists are very rude. While one of the receptionist were on the phone with one of my family members one of the receptionist forgot to hang up and stated "she doesn't shut up". It's disgusting how far this office has fallen. I have multiple medical issues and even while seeing the doctor there I wasn't receiving the right treatment and was constantly in the hospital. The reason I really left was because the doctor stated "if you continue to go to the hospital I will lose my rights in the hospital" that threw me over the edge, since I left this office I have been diagnosed with many medical issues he did not pick up on/ or made my conditions worse as I said there was something wrong! Since I left this office I have been diagnosed with Ehlers Danlos and Dysautonomia/POTS. On top of this my liver i

Even though I arrived on time for my appointment, I sat in a crowded waiting room for nearly an hour just waiting for the doctor to show up. The secretaries wore their masks around their necks or sometimes even took them off entirely while speaking with patients, which seems completely negligent. The PA was lovely and very reassuring - I wish I'd caught her name, because she deserves to be acknowledged for how helpful she was - but I felt like the doctor didn't take my symptoms seriously at all. I will not be returning to Shahkoohi's office again.

The place is an absolute disaster. Do not go if you want to feel better. They made my wife wait in their awful waiting area for over 2 hours with 103 fever. It was only after visiting the desk 3 times and asking when we would be seen that they finally saw her. Then they took blood and xRays and NEVER called with the results! She developed Pneumonia and had to nearly be hospitalized. We are still waiting for a call over a month from the day the blood test was taken. Stay away at all costs.

As my parents began to get older, and incapable of getting themselves to their own doctor visits, I started to schedule and bring them to their appointments. The wait was always hours to be seen. I then needed them to admit my Dad to the hospital, follow up and explain options and treatments and lastly to coordinate and authorize hospice care. The entire experience was horrific, starting with rude receptionist who seems bothered by every phone call and never heard back from anyone.
