Caring and professional
I took both my sons to Dr Fahim because they were not doing well in a group setting at school. She was able to diagnose both of them and prescribe appropriate drugs for each of them. She has always been caring and very attentive to both of them. I was very disappointed with other doctors that we saw before her. I have every confidence in her. Thank goodness I was lucky enough to find her. Both of my sons are doing great because of her.

Excellent experience.
Telehealth
I have been a patient of Dr. Fahim for several years. I usually don't write reviews but it seems like it would be unfair if don't share experience with others. Before started seeing Dr. Fahim used to see a Nurse practitioner who diagnosed me with ADHD, Bipolar disorder, anxiety disorder. For each diagnosis she started me initially with one medication and then without increasing the dose of previously started medications added more in short one medication for each symptom and none of those medications were on therapeutic doses. When I end up on 6-7 medication. I decided to see psychiatrist not NP since then I have been patient of Dr. Fahim I don't have ADHD or Bipolar disorder but simple anxiety and barely take any medication. Those of you who think they have ADHD please make sure to see an MD and don't dictate your diagnosis or medications u want. If u want to dictate medications please see Nurse practitioner who will please you with your choice of medications and diagnosis,

30 minutes late to my appointment, little to no communication. I went in looking for an ADHD assessment and was being managed for a condition I already am being managed on.

Very unprofessional, poorly ran practice
Non existent office staff. You need to leave a message and wait for a call back, hopefully at a time you’re free to speak with them or you play phone tag. She speaks down to and is rude to her patients. She has availability for a reason, I highly recommend looking elsewhere.

I scheduled a visit a month out. I never received a link so contacted the doctors office the week of who informed me they cancelled my appointment, without my knowledge or any contact with me. Then after explaining this they informed me they don’t accept “group home kids” and could not provide any further explanation. I find this policy very discriminatory with no specific reason as to why.

During COVID-19 Dr. Fahim missed two of our scheduled phone appointments. She was in no way apologetic. She wouldn’t take ownership of her punctuality. Could not and would not apologize. Not even willing to waive the appointment fee. That is just a small taste of what you are dealing with. You deserve better. Then when I said it was very unprofessional she immediately became defensive and made me out to be a monster! Seriously, you deserve a better psychiatrist.

I can not state enough how much Dr Fahim has helped me. I have struggled my whole life with anxiety & depression, I have seen many other psychiatrists and she is the only one that tried different medications until she found the right fit for me. My life has changed and I am active once again. I am thankful for her expertise and recommend her to everyone!

I have been seeing Dr Fahim for many years and can not say enough nice things about her professionalism. I started seeing her in Livingston but switched to Raritan because she closed the Livingston Office. She's worth the trip and I would highly recommend her office.

Amazing psychiatrist I took my daughter to her for treatment after having seen many psychiatrists who did not give her a proper diagnosis. After seeing doctor Fahim for 5 months my daughter has drastically improved in school, having better grades, I’m not getting complaints from teachers, she’s even making friends! I cannot be more pleased, I’ve never seen a better psychiatrist in my life. I would not have my daughter see anyone else.

I went to Dr. Fahim 2 years ago for 3 months so can't remember med names. She would start multiple meds at once, even the same week as me starting others for other reasons. She was very rude, and discouraged researching myself. After extreme side effects following her prescription, I made an emergency appointment to see her. She said the side effects were from my anxiety and prescribed me double the dose of the same meds. I then stopped her care. I'm afraid for her young children patients.

This practitioner was very condescending, judgmental, confrontational, arrogant, rude and quick to affix diagnostic labels to extended family members she had never assessed. She was also devoid of empathy and unwilling to listen. While I do not question her medical expertise, I’d question anyone’s decision to partner with her as a patient.

Came to her after moving away too far away to stay with my last psych. Told her that my existing regimen of medication was working fine but she diagnosed me completely differently and changed all my meds. She is not understanding of alternative lifestyles. On more than one occasion I've waited over an hour to see her. The receptionist at the Livingston office is incompetent. If you ever have an issue with your prescription, good luck reaching this doctor.

I did not have a positive experience with Dr. Fahim. She does not listen and made comments that were unprofessional and hurtful. I would not recommend her to anyone, especially to adolescents.

She overcharged me and will not return my 500$ . Also they round up your co-pay so they are overcharging you with that as well. They ask to be paid with cash, so that’s a red flag as well.

If I could leave 0 stars, I would. She doesn’t listen to her patients when they say a medication isn’t agreeing with them. Insisted I stay on it and stick it out. Don’t go to her.
