Excellent care. He was straight to the point, explained my condition and what needed to be done for my return to health. Gave perfect instructions. He is open for questions and expects the patient will follow through on her own. I would recommend him without hesitation.

His passion for getting to the root of the problem. I saw him at 32 years old after seeing five different endocrinologists in adulthood. He disagreed with the type 1 diagnosis I received at the age of 16. where all the other doctors just kept increasing my insulin; he started to remove me from insulin and placed me on more type 2 medications. Eventually, he changed my diagnosis to type 2 DM. I am no longer on insulin after 20 years of use. he has helped bring down the resistance and understands how diabetes is not the same for each person and how it affects different ethnicities.

Dr. Z is phenomenal and the results speak for themselves! I had been trying for 8 years to lose weight and no matter what I did, nothing worked. He figured out my health issues and made sure I was able to access the medication I needed! I’ve lost over 20lbs and I achieved my main goal—I’m pregnant! He speaks very quick and is passionate about his work and patients. His staff is very personable and they care deeply. I am so grateful for everything he has done for me and my family!

Dr. Z is fantastic. He's no non-sense, but he cares and he is focused on his craft and treatment of his patients. His office team are cool and down to earth, with a wry sense of humor. Come ready for your appointment and direct treatment from someone who cares. If you are lazy about your medical situation, his directness may put you off, but that's on you. Terrific person and outstanding professional.

I’ve been a patient of Dr. Zangeneh for over 15 years, and I am incredibly grateful to have found such an outstanding practice. Dr. Zangeneh is not only incredibly skilled and knowledgeable but also a true expert in his field, always providing the very best treatment plan. I was referred by another doctor but I never got to the appointment. I refuse to be spoken to so rudely by reception staff. The people who are hired to who work for you is a reflection of the doctor- practice. I could see the tone of this office and it's not professional. When a doctor allows this behavior from their staff then I choose not to patronize an establishment like that. There are too many other qualified doctors that care, than for me to uncessarily subject myself to this type of rude behavior. Thankfully my care is my choice. I will also be sure to share with experience with the referral doctor.

The best chronic disease manager - root cause of disease diagnosed and addressed

Dr Z helped me with the proper diagnosis and management. Having him help lead the charge against a chronic disease has been a blessing. His diagnostic skills, training and intuition helped solve an otherwise medical mystery. Dr. Z’s knowledge, honesty and transparency of my concerns.

This doctor needs to assess whether he truly wants to help patients or is money hungry. There is a $50 cancellation fee for canceling within 48 hours. I have no other doctor that charges such a fee. I scheduled my appointment yesterday for two days from now as I really wanted to see an endocrinologist and I realized the lab only sent me half my results, so I called the office to reschedule. They said they would still charge me $50 fee. It made no sense to see the doctor with only half of my labs and the office did not have enough common sense to understand that...all they care about is charging fees, not what is in the best interest of patient health. The office should get rid of Pam, she is the rudest person that have come across ever in a medical office. The Dr should get rid of this fee if he cares about patients or shorten the window to 24 hours. I am within 40 hours of my appointment and they want to charge me a $50 fee.

First consulted with Dr Zangeneh back in 2014, with type 2 diabetes, feeling awful. Almost 10 years later my weight is down 30 lbs., A1c is 5.3 and has been for years, feel well and continue to be a patient.

Dr. Zangeneh is an excellent doctor who was able to diagnose the problem in a timely manner and provided the great care. He also went above and beyond to get my appointment scheduled sooner with a surgeon. The front desk staff especially, Pam is very friendly and able to assist with any concerns I had. Dr. Zangeneh and staff are very knowledgeable and professional. I have been a patient for approximately 8 months. My original diagnosis was Type 2 Diabetes with a high A1C level, Sleep Apnea, high Blood Pressure and Cholesterol. Following Dr. Zangeneh's instructions my A1C level is down to pre-diabetic level, blood pressure is an average of 110/75, sleep is uninterrupted for 7 hours, cholesterol in well under the normal range and have lost over 75 pounds. This is all due to Dr. Zangeneh's extensive knowledge and experience about the diseases and available treatments. Dr. Zangeneh is on top of all labs, tests and consultants' reports; he calls his patients personally between their visits to discuss findings. I feel very fortunate to be a patient of Dr. Zangeneh's and would highly recommend the practice. It is my belief that Dr. Zangeneh and his staff give 150% of their focus and energy to helping their patients and provide a comprehensive solution for patient care.

I LOVE this office staff and Dr Z! I have been with him for approximately 12 years and have been through so much. He cares for his patients, sometimes it seems too much, but he truly wants to see his patients be at their best. When I found out I had breast cancer a year ago, he personally even called me and told me to call him if I needed anything. He stays up to date with all my other doctors and they even love it because they get so much information from him that helps them diagnose better (this from my general practitioner, oncologist as well as my cardiac oncologist). His staff also goes above and beyond!! At times they are behind, but as a specialist most are since it takes them longer to explain things. Dr Z is very honest and blunt! Though it may sting sometimes in what he says, I know he is telling me the truth and is always on my side to help my body be in optimum shape ! I highly recommend him!!

I’ve been Dr. Zangeneh’s patient for years, and he literally saved my life. He is well worth the hour I drive an hour to see him. He is the most knowledgeable physician I ever encountered, and he keeps on top of my medical care, including recommending appropriate tests that my other doctors didn’t think to suggest. He diagnosed my sleep apnea with one look at a blood test, and it was severe enough to affect my pulmonary artery & heart. He suggested a LDCT since I used to smoke, which caught an early & warded off disaster. These medical areas are above and beyond his own specialty areas. He is both brilliant and direct. From the front desk to Dr. Zangeneh, very very very unprofessional. Dr. Z. has no sense of bedside manners or HIPAA. He almost killed me. He contradicts himself so much. Iranians are usually very smart and knowledgeable. This is why when a co-worker who had horrifying experience with Dr. Z. forwarned me and told me not to trust my health with Dr. Z, I did not listen to her. I went and experienced the nightmare myself from this office. When I stopped going, it was a big relief of stress Fortunaly, I found a real knowledgeable endocrinologist who within 2 months puts my Graves disease into remission. I thought my nightmare with Dr. Z. was over when I stopped trusting him with my care, but no, because now I am about to take a legal action against his office for sending to collection a bill that was paid. I recently became a new patient with Dr. Zangeneh. I see Dr. Zangeneh to treat my diabetes, which he quickly addressed. Coincidentally, I was also diagnosed with an ovarian mass. Dr. Zangeneh spearheaded the hunt for treatment options. My information was floated to those with experience in gynecological oncology by Dr. Zangeneh. I received weekend texts and calls from Dr. Zangeneh making me aware of MD’s who would be reaching out to me. I have been expedited to one of the top surgeons in gynecological oncology with JHU at the request and persistence of Dr. Zangeneh. I sent a message to Dr. Zangeneh to tell him that my friends have rallied around me...those friends I trust with my heart. Dr. Zangeneh, I trust with my life.

No people are not friendly and very rude..

Dr. Zangeneh is a brilliant endocrinologist. In addition to his top-notch clinical and diagnostic abilities, he takes a look at the whole patient in determining a treatment. After a surgical procedure last year, my gynecologist highly recommended him for a routine checkup of my thyroid function. Dr. Zangeneh is insistent on complete background information: medical history including procedures and surgeries, exact dosage of medication AND supplements, family history, and he wants documentation to back it up. The combination of his superb medical/clinical skills AND his strong intuitive skills to check out something that nags at him make him go the extra mile for the patient. Thanks to the scan he ordered in addition to the blood work, my routine consultation with Dr. Zangeneh ended up with my being diagnosed with a very treatable thyroid cancer.
