I would not take a dead dying rat to this physician. I do give him credit that he's knowledgeable but he will do firsthand protocol. After that you'll get lost HIS system. This physician is more worried about you getting treatment in his office so he can get paid for it. Once you start receiving your treatment outside the office, you just basically become a number to him. Many cancelled appointments and no return calls back said would check into an MRI. Never did. Said he did then verified and finally agreed. He did not which is now causing brain metastasized tumors. When you receive chemo or an infusion at his office, you're in one big giant room. Everyone looking at each other. You might as well be in the waiting room.

Office always running late with appointments
Dr Musa is very knowledgable but I arrive to my appointments on time and always have to sit for an extra hour before I am even called in the back. This is so frustrating. Looking for a new oncologist.

Horrible doctor
Dr.musa is one of the worst doctors I’ve met in my life!! He never returns calls, his staff leave me on hold for almost an hour?!? He never calls unless you call first. I’ve been in pain for a month now and when I try to talk to him about it his staff tells me “he’s busy” “he has patients right now” “you have to make an appointment to TALK to him”. Find a different doctor and one that actually cares. I’ve been with him for almost a year now and I’ve only seen and talked to him 3 times. Dr. Musa is not a doctor. He doesn’t know what he’s doing.

Find another oncologist. One that truly cares.
When my husband was diagnosed with lymphoma, he was told my treatment would begin over 3 weeks later and to take blood thinner. This specific blood thinner had already caused a major internal bleed in my husband just a month prior, which was the first time he had ever taken it. Despite knowing that, this doctor told him to take it again, and not to worry, it was only half dose. When you've already been in ICU for internal bleeding, the last thing you want to hear is "Don't worry". Chemo day finally came and my husband was too weak for it. This doctor made him wait too long and simply didn't care. When you're a patient that hears you have lymphoma, and they tell you how easily treatable it is, you want that cancer treated soon, not almost a month later!! My husband's concerns were never taken seriously. Phone calls were never returned. Even when he said he would call with test results, he did not call. Instead of being a human being, my husband was simply another chart.

Amazing doctor
Amazing doctor, compassionate and knowledgeable, well respected by peers and deserves my gratitude for easing my concerns about my lesion and explaining it to me and setting me up timely with my surgeons and orders for blood work and imaging. When you are dealing with cancer, you need an ally, someone who listened and helped. It's a scary place for you and your loved ones, having a helpful honest oncologist on your side is priceless. I read the other reviews, all spoke to the difficulty of scheduling appointments and getting thru to the office, yes it was difficult, but wouldn't you want to hold out for the best! I drive over 69miles to see him. And trust me after covid all dr. Office have been difficult to reach, try calling Michigan Institute of urology for example you will he on hold for 20-30min and you will be appointed in 90days!

Cancelled 4 appointments
Dr. Musa is a horrible doctor with terrible bedside manners. I was referred to him in January. My first appointment was cancelled and rescheduled, in March. He ordered tests with an early April appointment. He has now cancelled 4 appointments, some at the very last minute. I've only saw him once. I refuse to return to a doctor who doesn't keep appointments with his patients. Do yourself a favor and find a better doctor. Do not bother trying to make an appointment with Dr. Musa.

Staff is super friendly and they don't ever have a problem drawing blood on me, a hard stick. Dr. Musa is very kind once you get past some initial awkwardness. He's a good advocate for his patients. Unfortunately he isn't in my new insurance network otherwise I'd happily stay a patient.
