Maybe it was the weather, maybe not. Maybe she was tired, maybe not. Perhaps she’s having marital problems at home, maybe not. I walked into this office hoping I’d find some relief in getting a checkup after dealing with a plethora of problems and discomfort for quite some time. I’d been having a terrible UTI for over a week now that was not responding to antibiotics. I’d also been experiencing intense abdominal pain that at times, would have me on the cold bathroom floor in the fetal position clutching my stomach and praying to gods I didn’t believe in. 1. Dr. Faina Akselrod refused to give me a Pap smear because I was on my period (Ok.......) 2. Regarding my UTI, she proceeded to argue with me about it in a very demeaning way. She didn't want to give me a urine test. 3. Insurance, copay, and the entirety of my day for a 3 minute chat just to tell me to come back another time. Dr. Faina Akselrod was very cold and not in the mood to help. Sad.

I never leave reviews but I needed to in order to express how horrendous Dr. Akselrods front desk staff is. They are some of the most un compassionate , entitled, disrespectful and vile women I have ever met in my life. They are rude, they have ZERO patient care and they genuinely don’t want what’s best for you. Dr. Akselrods practice is literally worse because of them. Don’t go here, EVER.

Doctors Bekker and Akselrod performed a bilateral Salpingectomy on me several years ago. The purpose of that surgery was to maximize my chances to safely achieve pregnancy via IVF, since both my Fallopian tubes had chronic inflammation. After a total of 11 unsuccessful IVF cycles (2 of the latest using donor eggs), I had developed an ovarian cyst and was advised to have it surgically removed. To my utter disbelief I was informed by my current doctor that during the ovarian cystectomy surgery they discovered that a piece of chronically inflamed Fallopian tube was still there and was likely the reason all of our IVF attempts failed. Fortunately for Dr. Bekker and Dr. Akselrod, the statute of limitations for this negligence has expired. My reason for writing this review is hope to prevent such tragedy from happening to others. You will probably be safe if all you need is a routine pap smear test but for anything more serious do your research diligently and go elsewhere.

Great doctor but AWFUL wait time. Three hour minimum appt length. I've Never left faster that that. Overscheduled, understaffed, and plain SLOW.

I've tried scheduling appointment with this doctor. Was told that she doesn't have an opening until June. The rude receptionist told me I can see someone else. So, when I asked what is Dr's name? She lashed out like a hungry shark. So nasty. All I wanted is a name????? I wanted to see if the other doctor is in network. is it too much to ask? Rude rude rude!!!!
