No in office Pacemaker Care
I just moved to Mount Vernon, IL. My New PCP referred me to Dr. Shamsham. Recently, I was referred by my orthopedic surgeon for an MRI. Prior to my being able to get the MRI, I have to have my pacemaker adjusted for the procedure. I am having to quit until January of 2025 to see the cardiologist because they do not have the proper computers, nor do they have any technicians who are qualified as a 'pacemaker tech.' that can adjust my pacemaker. They can't even read my pacemaker on their own, they have to wait until a representative of my particular pacemaker comes to town. If I would have known this information from the beginning, I would have found my own cardiologist. I will be seeking to find a new one starting tomorrow. What good is a cardiologist if they can't help you with the one device that is keeping you alive and it deals with your heart but yet, they can't do a thing without a representative?

I don’t think he does a very good job of explaining things . He is always in a hurry & short on patience. His receptionist staff seem inexperienced.
