Ghosted virtual appointment and blamed me
Telehealth
I had a virtual scheduled with Dr. Quist today after testing positive for flu at home. I was instructed by HHC to do the E-check-in, which I did, and I logged on early for my 2:00pm appointment at 1:42pm. I waited and at 2:02pm I saw that I had missed calls from her office at 1:52pm, 1:56pm and 2:00pm. I called back, confused, because the voicemail said I needed to check in with them (which I had already done). I waited and finally got connected with the front desk at 2:05pm and was told that Dr. Quist was now refusing to see me because I 'missed my appointment'!I explained that I had been logged into the meeting since 1:42! The woman told me that even though I did E-check-in they still like to talk to patients over the phone first. This was NEVER mentioned to me at any time! I explained this and explained that I did not miss my appointment and the Dr had never logged on. The woman on the phone begged Dr Quist a second time to see me, and the Dr still refused. Absolutely cruel!!!
