So very sad to hear that my Dr. Ferrer is no longer with FV Southdale. His support for me the last 2 years to lose 75 lbs. has been quite a positive journey.Had searched high and low and FINALLY found him, a doctor who specializes in obesity & CARED to deal w/it, taught me SO MUCH. Hunger is the enemy. Big lesson, real food is good for you, portion control, topirimate, etc. I will be forever grateful to you Dr. Ferrer. I pray I can find where he went on to., my insurance will cover out of network. I don't want another doctor to follow me with this issue, if I don't have to. I've tried many others before. Dr. Ferrer is a wonderful Dr. He helped me lose 40 pounds. He was extremely supportive and knowledgeable. My weight loss journey is not over, and I am very sorry he is no longer at Fairview Clinic in Edina. I would be willing to go out of network if it meant I could continue to see him.

I loved Dr Ferrer. He had the best bedside manner ever. He never rushed an appointment & was very thorough. So sad he left Fairview Southdale. I sure wish I knew where he went.

I really liked Dr. Ferrer and was sorry to see him leave Fairview Southdale Medical Center in Edina, MN. He was very patient and kind and spent time listening to me. He didn't rush in and out of the office or ever seemed in a big hurry to be someone else. He treated my hypertension and I had regular visits every 6 mos. I will miss Dr. Ferrer and wish him well.

He was the best doctor for me, as far as internal medicine goes. Patient and listening to my concerns and taking time, not rushing in and out of the office!

I came to see Dr. Ferrer about my blood pressure. After a month I was reevaluated and my BP was down to a normal level. He then asked if I was interested in weight loss, and without knowing anything about my eating habits or my current nutritional health, he prescribed phentermine (a controlled substance) as an appetite suppressant. I even asked why he was doing it and he said it was just as a backup plan in case the calorie plan didn't work. Inappropriate.
