A wonderful doctor
I have seen Dr. May for many years. He is a Neuro-ophthalmologist and one of his specialties is MS. I get a very thorough eye exam before I see Dr. May. He looks at the results of that exam and then talks to me about any concerns I might have. He answers any questions I might ask. Dr. May is a lovely doctor/human being. PS I have seen him at many MS events through the years.

I had to travel quite a distance to see Dr. May. I was very hopeful for this visit as I had drastic changes in vision in the few months prior, I was unable to work, and was not able to get answers from my current team (and they tried very hard). I was encouraged by my doctor's to invest time and a lot of money to see Dr. May. When I finally got to Swedish I was relieved, but that quickly washed away, when I was rushed through an eye exam. I then got to see the doctor for less than 15 minutes. There was a lot of confusion in the office as my records had not been coordinated as they should have and he hadn't even reviewed my file. He had an attitude as to why I was even referred to him. He briefly looked at my eyes, said they look normal. He never gave a diagnosis or even a suggestion as to what could be causing differences in each eye—there are some major issues. After repeatedly asking he gave very vague advise, akin to loose weight if you're back hurts. Do not go our of your way!
