Have been going to Dr. Ilyas for a number of years. She is thorough and patient. Her office staff are another matter, have had several problems with them, mostly about scheduling. For my latest appointment, I was instructed to call the office when I arrived in the parking lot, provide a call back # and wait to be called when an exam room was available since the office waiting was closed due to covid. Followed the directions and sat in my car for 1 hour, during which I saw number of patients park and go directly into the office without waiting. I left. Finally got the call to go in; I explained to the receptionist that I was frustrated with the hour wait and was furious watching other patients park and go in with no wait. The receptionist's response was "OK"......not an I'm sorry and no effort to reschedule. Sorry Dr. Ilyas, its time to look for another Dermatologist.

I agree that Dr. Ilyas is patient & listens, aside from being thorough. I also agree that she is excellent at explaining how/why or where you make have acquired a skin ailment & the process that ailment goes through, & then provides solutions &/or treatments. Dr. Ilyas has a pleasant personality so it makes you feel relaxed & she tells you what it is going to feel like (a pinch or sting, etc.) as she is treating your issue.

I like Dr. Ilyas, but might look for a different dermatologist due to difficulty getting an appointment in under 3 months. Waited over 50 minutes with no explanation for a 5 minute appointment. Asked 2 separate staff members why there was such a long wait and just got blank looks.
