My mom has been his patient and the treatment she’s received is alarming to say the least. It’s always been difficult getting straight answers and calls returned from staff. But then my mom was scheduled for surgery for a tumor removal. The surgery was canceled less than 15 hours before we were supposed to report to the hospital because of bloodwork results they have been sitting on for almost a week. Then they never called back with any sort of explanation or follow up. It’s been almost two weeks and we haven’t heard a word from them. I am disappointed and disgusted by this practice as a whole.

Never in my life have I met an individual with such a good complex. Little man syndrome. And has no respect for a US Veteran which I personally experienced.

I was so hopeful that I could finally go to a doctor who could listen to my problems and be open to listening to me and help me figure it out, and all dr Vez did was walk in the room so fast and not even ask me in depth about any of my questions, but the whole visit was over before I could even finish the new patient paperwork. Another neurosurgeon whos a jerk, decides before they walk in the room what they’re gonna do, and don’t consult you at all. Just another neurosurgeon with a god complex who thinks he knows it all without bothering to get the information, not bothering to actually ask the patient what’s going on.

This man is truly a rockstar! He has been my husbands doctor since 2007. My husband has a very large and rare aneurysm. He has taken care of him for 13 years and has kept him alive. I do believe, if it was not for this man, I would not have my husband and my children would not have their daddy. He has alway and I do mean always taken such great care of him. We started at Thomas Jefferson with him and we will follow him anywhere! Because of the kind of doctor his is. Those hands are magic!! Love him??

Oh, and by the way, he's older (52) than he looks (15). Just thought I'd add that because he looks like he hasn't aged a day in the 14 years he's been taking care of my brain. Also, a Philadelphia Inquirer headline called him a "Superstar Neurosurgeon"...

This man saved my life. He has the best team and is a skilled surgeon. Dr. Vez is a Rock Star in my book. He also has a great bedside manner. He cares about his patients, deeply. If you have a problem with your noggin, this is the guy to go see. I had a giant brain aneurysm with a baby aneurysm on it. He put 2 PED stents in and I’m cured. I would not be alive if it weren’t for him and his team. I got 4 opinions from top docs across the country. I’m so glad I went with Dr. Vez. I am alive to see my grandchildren grow up and it’s because of this man right here. ??

Dr. Vez is the best in the endovascular neurosurgery. He saved my life 10 years ago and again this year. He performed the embolization surgery on my Cerebral AVM.

This the best neuro surgeon around. Him and his team are top notch. They took excellent care of my daughter who had chairi decompression surgery and unfortunately had some unforeseen medical problems that required additional surgeries. Took care of her as if she was family and would recommend them to anyone.

I had a brain aneurysm in April of 2004. Dr Vez was with Jefferson at the time. He saved my life. I walked out of the hospital fully recovered. His hands are golden. I followed him to capital health in Trenton when I was getting headaches again a few yrs back. He performed surgery again on me. I needed a re coil and a stent put in. I've put my full trust in him and have since followed him to Drexel. He is brilliant, caring and explains himself and everything he does to the patient and family.

My 14 year old daugther died while in the care of Dr. Vez, although I do not think he could have done anything to save her, he sent his PA in to provide me with the results of the tests to confirm and tell me. Not him but his PA. As her doctor and as sensitive as the situation was I would have thought any doctor would want to deliver that kind of news themself.

On behalf of my mother I can honestly say that Dr Vez is not only a very skilled genious but he is thorough, caring courteous, and compassionate and I can just go on listing adjectives. He saved my mom 12 years ago. She had a level 4 subarachnoid hemmorage. Two other docs found nothing Dr Vez diagnosed immediately and took action. The odds were against her but his knowledge and confidence made all the difference in the world. The odds were against her,and because of him we still have her today

Dr. Vez explains conditions and procedures very well. With that said, I was told I had a brain mass and fluid almost covering my brain. Surgery was urgently necessary. Another MRI was performed in addition to my doctor ordered MRI. I waited TWO months for results. Why the lack of urgency? After 2 mths I was given a date for a biopsy and shunt placement. Won't I need more exams? He told me it wouldn't matter.Tho I cancelled surgery, his office still called my dr to confirm surgery. Stay far away.
