Dr. Ernst Nicolitz, MD

This unprofessional company charged me an additional 20.00. I paid my bill in full at the visit! I never got an additional bill because I didn't owe anything, but his office sent 20.00 to collections, dropping my credit score 40 pts!! Now, during a pandemic while I am trying to get an apartment, assuring I remain living in my car for months! Do NOT go to this place! They destroyed my life.

Great explained everything before surgery.

I've been a patient of Dr. Nicolitz for several years and he routinely follows me through examinations to monitor my eye conditions. He also did my cataract surgeries on both eyes.

I was referred to Dr. Nicolitz by my primary doctor because of skin tags on my eyelid. You are supposed to come twice to get basic testing at his clinic! Without doing any tests, Dr. Nicolitz suggested to come twice a year because of beginning of cataract and suspicion of glaucoma. I went to an eye doctor in Levenson’s optic, and all basic tests were done at the first visit and no signs of cataract or glaucoma. I knew it! I’m not going to come to Dr. Nicolitz twice a year or ever. Money maker!

The doctor gave me a thorought explanation of what steps he was going take in identifying and treating my tearing problem. It was the best and most thorough briefing I've ever had from an eye doctor. I am very grateful.

Dr. Nicolitz has been my ophthalmologist for 15 yrs and I feel he has given me excellent exams and explained my eye conditions very well. He has a calm and relaxing manner and I have full trust in his competence as a surgeon if I require it in the future. He's the best in Jacksonville.

Excellent re quality of care and surgical procedure that was expected following a previous surgical outcome of prior years. The reason for returning was based on Dr. Nicolitz's surgical expertise and communication skills between physician and patient results following post surgery visits.

Great staff! Worked with me and scheduled me in after I was late to my appointment. They could've charged or cancelled but they didn't and were so understanding. Love it!

Dr. Nicolitz did my cataract surgery with the multifocal lens. i am so happy I do not wear glasses anymore. The staff was pleasant, kind, and informative. My mother also had her cataract surgery there.

I called on the phone before going in and was told my insurance deductible for a contact lens exam would be $85. When I got there I was charged $85. After going through a preliminary exam of eye charts, I was taken into the exam room. After they had dilated my eyes for the exam, someone came in and told me I owed an additional $120 for the actual contact fitting. They wouldn't budge when I told them I was told $85. I got my money back and went to the Target eye center where I spent $40.

From the first visit, I knew this surgeon was going to do the best that could be done. He is a straight shooter and gives you as bad as it can get, but the best possible outcome and stays up with the latest in care. I would highly recommend Dr Nicolitz and team. My situation was squamous cell carcinoma. I feel my surgery and recovery was quick, thorough and I know each member of the staff as well as Dr Nicolitz care about the care I received. I am going to switch my general eye care as well!
