Dr. Ernest De Leon, MD

Dr. DeLeon is not there for you when you need him. I'm not sure if it is him or his staff but ever since the other doctors left the practice my husband and I have had nothing but problems. Medications don't get renewed, referrals and needed tests don't get ordered and phone calls don't get returned. We are very dissatisfied with this practice and are currently looking for someone who cares and has a staff that knows how to follow through.

Dr deLeon misdiagnosed my breast abscess as keloid. It was lanced 3 times over the last 10 years. He stated abscesses can't return in same spot. Yes, when 'core' isnt removed. Basic101 & he didn't know? Said I didn't need antibiotics tho I just had a TJR & infection could go to my surgical area. Prescribed Prednisone to shrink it. Asked if I had done aerobics, yes in the 80's before accident. He suggested I get back into an exercise program & I explained I lost 50 lbs for surgery & check with PT about aerobics. He said "oh yes, you just said you had a hip replacement." I was told to get blood work for cholesterol, then he left! NO help for breast abscess. My 1st appointment & he took advantage of my insurance & what it covered, adding other things & wellness exam which could have waited. I was ill & in pain. 2 days later in E.R. throwing up, very high fever, & abscess was larger. Emergency surgery in hours for removal. I have no trust in his knowledge & he showed he has his own agenda.

Scared me with his disconcerting attitude.. staff is very rude.. argumentative , very non professional.. staff does not follow through with dr. Order of your perscibitions. After contact to report it to them they get nasty..won't follow through with information given to them . Very confrontational..Causing problems and confusion . People be very aware it could be a mistake that could cause you harm..

I really like this doctors office. I know when I leave I have gotten best treatment. I currently see Dr. Fife and he is really easy to talk to and he is not rushed.

Waited in my car till called in. Didn't have to wait in reception area. Worked fine. As always, Dr. DeLeon answered my questions and was concerned for my well being.

Our visit went extremely well and we are happy with the Drs information and recommendations for follow ups.

Been going to Dr DeLeon several months now. Previously went to another doctor for over 12 years. I have high blood pressure and have been on various medicines to no avail. My BP would show around 200/90+ each visit. First time I went to Dr Deleon he took me off a lot of the medicines, asking me “why are you on this”. . After 3 visits I am down in the 120-130/60-70 range. I couldn’t believe it. He is an outstanding doctor that actually showed a real interest. He listens to you and wants to hear what you have to say. He is well versed with your case when he walks into the exam room. I would highly recommend him

I was very impressed with how the office and staff handled the safety for protecting patients during the Pandemic. I also felt Dr Deleon took the time to listen to my issues.

Upon arrival 15- mins early, I was greeted at the front desk and given forms to update any information. When forms were completed, I was admitted to a medical waiting room and BP check. Dr. DeLeon was examining me 15-minutes later. I have been with Dr. DeLeon for nearly 6-years since moving to Lake City: recommended by a neighbor, Dr. DeLeon has always maintained a high level of professionalism, exams and follow-ups were thorough, and, at one point I required another MD specialist (athletic injury) and my issues were completely resolved. Follow-up was coordinated with both practices. Dr. DeLeon is an excellent medical caregiver, and I realize that I have been blessed to be in his care. The office staff and medical assistants are equally top notch and work well together as a team. Dr. DeLeon and his staff are the best I’ve ever experienced in 40-years. Outstanding in every sense of the word.

Dr. DeLeon is one of a kind. He is truly concerned for his patients wellness, is thorough in his examination and has a great bedside manner. Doctor takes the time needed to understand the entire physical problems of his patients.

I received very good service and care with Dr. deLeon's office. I received the new patient paperwork in the mail in advance of my appointment which made it very easy to complete the information accurately and timely rather than trying to remember dates etc. while sitting in the waiting room. I was greeted right away when I arrived and the staff when checking out where swift. Dr. deLeon was quick and thorough and realistic. He provided me with good information to my questions about living wills. The experience was great and I would definitely recommend this doctor and staff to others.

Dr. Deleon is a wonderful, and knowledgeable doctor. He always makes me at ease. I have had several doctors in the past, (at age 72). He is by far my favorite!! I would highly recommend him to everyone. Thank you Dr. Deleon for all you have done for me I truly appreciate you and your staff.

Dr. De Leon is a great doctor who cares about his patients.

I've only been with Dr. De Leon for about 6 months so I am not ready to give his practice a 5 star rating based on just a few visits but I have no problem hitting this practice with a 4 star rating right off the bat. Wait times have been minimal, staff has always been efficient, knowledgeable and helpful. I find Dr. De Leon himself to be down to earth; he is thoughtful in his approach to health issues and seems more willing to get a patient off medication rather than adding more as it seems many Dr.'s tend to do. I also like that you get a "Summary of today's visit" at the end of the appointment which lists any: Allergies, medication list; tests ordered, medical conditions and any notes on the days visits. I have enjoyed quite good health the first 2/3rd's of my life, it seems the last third includes the aging process which presents itself rather rudely at times. I feel confidant that I have found in this Dr. and medical staff, an excellent team to see me through.
