Dr. Erin Nichols, MD

Dr Newton explains her evaluation very well and treats me as though I am her only patient. Very happy with her care and all of the staff. - retired RN. My 2 siblings see her as well.

Dr. Nichols was wonderful - she explained everything in a way that I could understand and was patient enough to answer all of my questions. She caught things during my exam that previous eye doctors missed in the past, which turned out to be significant given my family history of glaucoma. I left the appointment feeling very reassured and I know that I am in good hands! I would recommend her without hesitation for anyone who is looking for a knowledgeable ophthalmologist.

I had seen other doctors in the same office that had both wisdom and knowledge.This was my first interaction with this doctor. Her demeanor was fine at first. She arrived in the room with what I assume was either an admin or technician. She spoke quietly to her assistant and to me very loudly. When I asked what she was telling the assistant she told me it wasn't my concern and that she would let me know what she finds out about my eyes in "words I can understand". Simply because my hair is grey and there are wrinkles on my face does not predetermine my capacity for understanding her findings. She didn't speak to me personally, so she didn't know if I was a retired ditch digger, or PhD in microbiology. She lacks personal skills and I chose to ignore her "expert" opinion, treat my condition on my own and am now considerably improved. Find another ophthalmologist with wisdom as well as clinical knowledge. I advise Dr. Nichols, grow up and hopefully, God willing, will age & have grey hair
