Cold, Not trauma informed
She didn’t discuss anything she was going to do with me before. No sedation or numbing treatments. No warnings before she touched me or my surgical tube. Was very cold and contradictory towards my other providers orders.

The best of the best
I am writing to express my experience being treated by Dr. Gilbert, her residents, and fellows. I have an extensive medical history and multiple medical conditions that have made treatment for any of my health issues extremely complicated. However, despite the dozens of doctors that I have seen over my 20+ years of treatment, I have never had such compassionate, comprehensive, thorough, and kind medical care as I have received by Dr. Gilbert and her team that I believe it more than deserves writing about. Dr. Gilbert and her team are quite simply the best doctors and best team I have ever had the pleasure to have worked with in any specialty. Dr. Gilbert is a wonderful doctor to watch teach her students as well as to be treated by. It is truly a privilege to be a patient of hers.

Doctor Gilbert is great professional. She was always helpful and kind. She is straight forward just like the surgeon should be and smart and kind just like a human should be. I have nothing but good to say about her. I am thankful that she helped my family.

I had a laparoscopic gallbladder removal done by Dr Gilbert on 9/5/17. I am *so grateful* that it was she who presided over my first surgery. From our first meeting she put me utterly at ease. She is a master communicator. She tailored the operation to me too, using narrower cannulas to lessen scarring despite it being tougher. I didn't have any wounds *at all*. By the next day I was gallivanting all around town on mere Advil. Her work speaks for itself. Thank you so much Dr Gilbert!

This person is totally incompetent. I have a mesh and it ripped loose last year. I was in terrible, terrible pain, and I went to the emergency room at OHSU. They told me to wear a girdle, and they wrote me a referral for EMERGENCY GENERAL SURGERY! They told me they would discuss a mesh revision surgery / neuroectomy, (to remove a mass of scar tissue caused from the mesh) with me. When I saw this Dr. Gilbert, she told me my bowels were normal! When I told her I was in their ER she said, HU?
