Dr. Erik Zeegen, MD

Dr. Zeegen is an incredibly skilled surgeon. He replaced both of my hips, and made the whole process relatively pain-free, with fast and successful recoveries. Moreover, he's a great communicator and very caring. I would highly recommend him.

ZEEGAN.I am writing this long overdue review with a heavy heart to share the devastating experience my mother had under the care of Dr. Erik Zeegan at UCLA Orthopedics. The total hip replacement surgery performed by Dr. Zeegan has left my mother with PERMANENT brain damage, and has caused immense pain and suffering to both her and our entire family. My mother was 100% independent before her hip replacement surgery, even with her constant hip pain. She was an excellent driver and took care of all her finances, errands and medical appointments. She was a vibrant woman who loved life, travel, was an excellent cook, and had a very active role in the lives of her grandchildren. Now, she lives in the memory care unit of an assisted living facility, is very confused, and requires help with activities of daily living. Dr. Zeegen gave me back my life with hip replacements. Both done six months apart. No problems 18 years later.

I traveled from Henderson NV to have Dr. Zeegen perform two knee replacements in February and August in Los Angeles. I am glad that I did it.For the second knee replacement, a small blood vessel opened. Twice Dr. Zeegen saw me right away and repaired the problem - he is proud of his work and he should be. Otherwise the second knee replacement came out better than the first. He is definitely worth the wait - he has a long list of patients waiting for surgery. Needless to say, I am happy that I had the knee replacements.

My aunt had a knee surgery, the worst surgery and he did not fix it even after knowing he mess my out knee.

The staff was very friendly. I didn’t wait long and the doctor answered all my questions. Now I have to just decide if I want to have the knee replacement.. good visit

Beyond Excellent! Dr Zeegan is meticulous, professional and compassionate. He has an excellent staff that supports you prior to and following the surgery. No question or concern goes unanswered. The UCLA orthopedic surgery center in Santa Monica is world class.

If I judged Dr. Zeegen by my results, he would get one star. The surgeon broke my femur during hip replacement surgery two months ago. I am still swollen and in pain recovering. It will be months before I am back to my pre-surgery abilities. I am just beginning to walk without crutches. I added a second star to the review since hip flexibility seems improved. The third star recognizes support from him and his staff post femur break.

Dr. Zeegen and staff are very professional, thorough and friendly!! Had knee replacement three days ago, recovering well, can’t wait for the follow-up visit! He explained conditions well, along with personal visits after surgery. I would highly recommend Dr. Z. for a knee replacement!

My experience with Dr. Zeegan has been great. He has addressed my issues and now my hip is wonderful. His staff is caring and efficient.

Zeegan is very rude and very arrogant. The one who stated that zeegan's bed manners are bad, that person is 110% correct. Hes among many doctors who're extremely cold and who're not humble at all! I won't recommend him at all for he's way too full of himself. DO NOT GO TO ZEEGAN I give him a BIG ZERO
