Dr. Erik Wert

Dr. Wert is a very professional and caring doctor. He is completely focused on your problem if there are any. He drills down on any issues you have until he has a treatment, explanation or if he feels it is warranted he refers you to the proper specialist. I have had an ongoing heart problem for years My previous 2 doctors were so focused on getting to the next patient that they just blew of my problems. I finally changed to Dr. Wert. He immediately ran an electrocardiogram and saw an issue. He ordered the correct next diagnostic testing and followed up on the results. He then refereed me to a top cardiologist who has since taken over my cardiovascular treatment but Dr. Wert did not just drop the issue he still follows up, and follows my treatment. I have had other issues as well and he has taken them on immediately spending the time needed for proper diagnostics and follow up. I have had a lot of doctors in the past as I am nearing 80. I have never had one that I trust as much as Dr.

Dr. Erik Wert has been my Primary Care Physician for 10 years. He is the best doctor I've ever had. He is thorough, compassionate, understanding, non-judgmental, and most importantly he is an authority on gay men's health issues, including hiv care. I have recently left Lansing, but I'm absolutely keeping him on as my PCP because no other doctor comes close to providing the excellent standard of care I get from Dr. Wert. Highly recommended.

Don’t waist your time going to this “doctor” as he is rude, arrogant and lacks a complete bed side manner. You will be treated like a number as all this office cares about is getting you in and out and collecting the insurance money. Very unprofessional doctor period

This doctor's office is chalk-full of unprofessional people who circle the wagons around each other's unprofessionalism at the detriment of the patient and the patient/doctor relationship. In specific, Dr. Erik Wert's assistant Lisa is unprofessional, rude and abrasive. She is completely incapable of doing her very most important job, which is communicating with patients. She does not return phone calls at all most of the time. After this became an issue for the 5th time inside of 2 years, she collaborated with the head of the HR Department, a woman named Shawn, and another supervisor by the name of Brooke, to gaslight me as well as Dr. Wert, causing our doctor/patient relationship to come to an abrupt end while I'm in the middle of dealing with a significant injury. It was only after talking to Kristal that it was admitted that they had made *several* errors in their treatment of me, but by then, it was too late. The relationship is damaged irreparably. I would strongly recommend AGAI

Dr. Wert is easy to talk to and he's very open minded. I would recommend him to anyone I know.

Dr. Wert has been my PCP for nearly half a decade. He is thorough, kind, and helpful -- everything one could ask for in a primary care provider.

Dr. Wert is amazing. He takes the time to listen to his patients, even after hours and on his personal time when necessary. He is also amazingly thorough, with pre-emptive and regular testing and monitoring for his patients with chronic conditions.

I strongly recommend Dr. Wert. During our initial consultation Dr. Wert took the time to understand my life and who I am as a person. As a member of the LGBTQ+ community, I felt very comfortable discussing parts of my life with Dr. Wert that were received with unfamiliarity or visible uncomfortableness by other health practitioners in the past. Together, Dr. Wert and I built a plan to proactively address my health concerns and goals. I'm also been very impressed with Dr. Wert's ability to keep track of my health issues and my treatment plan. I was extremely frustrated with my last doctor because I would have to remind her as to why I was present for an appointment and what happened last visit. Also, I can expect to be in and out for an office visit with Dr. Wert in a reasonable period of time, unlike my last provider in which my appointments routinely ran an hour or more late.

Dr. Wert continues to amaze me. He is brilliant. No stone left unturned. He makes me feel so comfortable when discussing any topic, I can ask him anything without being embarrassed. He has called on nights and weekends to check on me before. I have even called on him while I am on vacation 1500 miles away and he has helped. He truly cares about his patience and will help fight with insurance companies. His medical assistant Lisa is the best. The two of them together are amazing. I am very happy with and feel blessed to have Dr. Wert .

Always personable, direct, and informative. Knows his sex! Easy to talk to. Forward-thinking on STIs and an expert in HIV. Highly recommended.

Dr. Wert is LGBT friendly which is rare. He is able to address issues easily and makes sure you are able to get the care you need.
