He helped my mother tremendously! Very professional and very knowledgeable. I felt very comfortable and he explained things to me as well as her.

Horrible 4 minute appointment had meds that needed change.told me he didn't have time nor support staff and refered me to a job posting on exam room door. Looking for support staff the walked out and told me to stop for Blood work. Nothing done. Then looking back at paperwork submitted by him I found everything is just old paperwork from 3 years ago reposted with new dates. When insurance complained to administration. He was questioned. At that point he decided I was not worth his time and released me from his care he's very full of himself and does not listen to the patient. Beware

Horrible Staff
Dr Cohen is a decent doctor. His staff on the other hand are horrible, rude and uncaring. Takes 2 weeks to get refills

Visit was good. Follow up was horrible. I was told I would receive a phone call by at least the next day (if not that evening). The issue was that my prescription might need to be changed based on blood work that was done. As you might have already guessed...Yup...no phone contact, no email...nada. I called the following day and could only leave a message on the medical assistants vmail...I'm assuming she's the one who should have called and didn't. I left a message for the one who should have called and didn't. Makes sense to me. I called back and asked if I could leave a message for Dr. Cohen without going through the medical assistant and immediately was told "That's the only way" and was slammed right back into the medical assistants vmail. I haven't been feeling well for ages. It took me forever to make this appointment and I was so hopeful things would turn around. Now I'm feeling ill AND annoyed.

Prior to Albany Medical Center taking over this office I had no issues with him or office. Now a different story, he does not like to get pre-approval from the insurance company and will only use synthetic thyroid meds(which do not cover T3 & T4 together causing issues, I have family and friends who suffer because of this so it was not for me plus I have chemical intolerances) and if you need other stuff he will complain and carry on about it to you, really unprofessional, he has done this to my face more than once and with a family member present as well, please take someone with you always. They also had a long time getting back to me and the lab on that day was awful, overbooked and stressed, the woman stabbed me and I hollered with pain, she walked away and came back and I addressed her about it, she said I was carrying on, really? So I said well could you please get me something for all the blood spilling out of my arm? She apologized and had to use the other arm, I left them.
