Dismissive of my problems
I get the impression that I'm not important to him. I am a complex patient. If he doesn't want to treat me or refer me to another specialist I wish he would say so. I'm going elsewhere for a gastroenterologist.

Great Doctor
Excellent bedside manner. Sometimes patients forget that their doctor is a subspecialist, in this case a gastroenterologist so they want them to magically fix all of their issues. He was very kind, patient and focused on all of my options for treatment.

The clinic is nice and clean. Dr. Vorlop seems like he knows how to prescribe the right meds but his bedside manner is terrible. He doesn’t listen to the patient, doesn’t collaborate with the patient for treatment planning, and is dismissive of patient requests and feedback. He shows no empathy or compassion for patients experiencing distress over the pain of living with chronic illness.
