Disappointed
For years I have been seeing Dr. Wininger , since Covid I have had tele visits, I had my last scheduled months ago for November 9, he never called . I left four messages and after 6 days finally got a call back and was told he no longer did tele visits. No call to tell me ahead and I have had the appointment for months. Now I have to find a new doctor!

Wonderful...my first time as a patient and Dr. Winiger took his time going over my blood work and addressing my concerns. His staff was friendly and they called me back immediately with my ultrasound results.

Dr. Wininger and his staff are outstanding, especially during COVID-19. Even though there are no office visits, his phone appointments are just the same. I am able to go over my medical status and medications, with him able to provide detailed recommendations. Very fortunate to have him and his staff. Highly recommend them.

Dr. Wininger is himself not a bad guy, although kind of odd in his mannerisms. But after going to him for a few years I'm switching to another endocrinologist. I've finally had it with his unfriendly and unhelpful staff. Not to mention the fact that he does not accept AARP Medicare Advantage. I've been paying almost $400.00 year out of pocket for 5 minute consultations but they refuse to spend 50 cents to mail me a new script for blood work. I don't need the aggravation.

“Dr. Wininger is a good doctor. Unfortunately I had to leave a couple of years ago because of his staff. Dr Wininger deserved better that an "office manager" that seemed intent on destroying his practice.”

While it was easy to schedule an appointment, I found everything about the visit, nursing staff, office, and doctor lacking. The front desk lacks basic customer service skills, and seemed annoyed to be helping me. While the nurse who checked me in was friendly, I do not think her extra long fake nails are safe for infection control. The doctor himself does not do a complete exam, and seemed rushed. After two visits I have decided to find a new doctor.

Dr Wininger is a wonderful doctor, one of the best I have ever seen. He is always prepared prior to walking into the exam room so he knows exactly what is going on with you. He takes his time with you, explains everything and always leaves you feeling positive. The office staff is also wonderful. Appointments are ALWAYS on time, if you wait more then 10 minutes that's a lot. I highly recommend Dr Winninger if you are looking for exceptional care

Good luck trying to reschedule an appointment that you missed because you were ill. I've been a patient for 10-years and did not even receive the courtesy of having them squeeze me in for a 10-minute appointment. My lab results show Chronic Kidney Disease, and the Dr. doesn't have the sensitivity to make an effort to see me. It seems that this practice is gotten to big to care about their patients. I recommend going to a different practice that is flexible and cares. Robert Chitren Jackson,

I will not recommend Dr. Wininger! He does not explain the tests results, and seems very uncaring and gets upset if you ask him for details about your condition. Go somewhere else!

Completely detached from patients. Does nothing but take vitals and write scripts. Is completely unaware of current best practices and research. Is rude to patients and has no ability to engage in conversation regarding treatments, remedies, or new research. Other physicians in the endocrine field have noted many of their new patients come from this practice and they have nothing positive to say about Wininger. Highly recommend seeking other doctors.

Dr. Wininger and his staff were very compassionate with my Mom who was a patient of his. We never had to wait long in the waiting room or in the exam room. He treated my Mom much, much better than her previous endocrinologist. When my Mom died, he and his office were the only medical group who sent a card...that says something to me ?

Horrible attitude. All this office cares about is making money on your visits. When first visiting this doctor i was given about 15 minutes which included general questions and well known suggestions about diabetes which I have had for over 30 years. Then Dr Winninger tried selling me a pump I didn't want and was visibly upset when I asked for a different brand. Now, they denied me a prescription because I did not visit the office frequent enough. Shame.

This guys is about as bland as wallpaper. Hours are horrible. Office looks old and dated. Over 3 years seeing him never has he been up to speed on diabetic technology including CGM's. Scheduling an appointment is a hassle and the staff is nasty. Haven't been there in awhile and need a refill? Well too bad the doctor will deny your insulin refill until you come in and he makes his money. I was told by the staff "there's nothing I can do" while preparing for a large last minute trip.

Will never recommend this practice. They are out right unfriendly and mean. I was running late in the rain with a newborn baby. I told them I would be 10 minutes late. They said ok. I came in, they took me in to do the initialsame like BP and weight. Then they told me to wait in the waiting room again. After 20 minutes they told me I have to wait for at least an hour and a half until ALL the patients are seenot because I came late. DON'T USE THIS GROUP! There are nicer professionals than them!
