Looong wait times. However, long wait times because of high demand by lots of kids parents. You want fast food? You get what you get! Same applies to health care. He takes his time with EVERY patient without rushing along. Dr Vernier truely cares and he really helped my daughter with PNES events. Staff is a universal issue all over as of late. However, the vast majority of Dr Verniers staff have been caring, helpful and enguaged 100%.

TERRIBLE OFFICE STAFF AND COMMUNICATION
The office staff does everything in their power to pass the buck to the next person. Not to mention trying to get a Prior authorization form is like breaking into fort knox. Going on day 5 and still no resolution and my son has been without seizure medicine because of this.

10am appt this morning for my sons brain scan and EEG results, but guess what? The Tampa location is closed! Tried calling the answering service about 20 times and get hung up on every single time. We’ve been waiting for months for these results. I WANT MY SONS RESULTS. If I don’t have them on Monday I will be reaching out to the medical board of registration and my attorney.

AVOID if you can!!
This office could not be more disorganized. We have been waiting on results for over 6 months and every time the doctor says he will review and call us the same day and never has. His office also switched us to his nurse several times who had no answers for anything. They move appointments around on a whim and rescheduled me two times in one day with no notice. I cannot emphasize how awful the communication has been. I live right next to his office and I am now going to Tampa to avoid ever having to deal with his office again.

Dr. Vernier is wonderful. However there's a HUGE issue with answering the phone. Making appts is a nightmare. You end up calling every hour to get someone because they will not call you back. If you leave a message, you can be guaranteed that the voice mail box will be full. After 4 years of this, I'm most disappointed that it continues to be a problem. When in the office, I never hear the phone ring and I don't see staff overwhelmed -- I'm truly puzzled as to what drives this issue.

After waiting over a month to see Dr. Vernier, we were given incorrect directions and the staff never returned our phone calls as we were trying desperately to have our son seen. After taking time off of work to not ever be seen by this doctor and his team, we are incredibly disappointed. This doctor may be ok, but his staff is awful and they make the process terrible. As a teacher in the public school system near his practice, I will make sure to tell people to avoid this doctor at all costs!

I am satisfied with this office. They can be a bit hard to get in touch with but one employee Erika Lugo has always been incredible. She is efficient, very friendly and always does what she says she is going to do. Very Very helpful.

Dr. Vernier is quick to diagnose and prescribe medication without all the data to back up his recommendations. Since he left All Children’s, we drive 3 hours round trip to see him. Every time we’ve gone to see him at Capernaum Medical Center, they have been completely disorganized, and my daughter’s chart has not been updated as to why we’re there (either for a hospital follow-up or results for a 24hr EEG). This past appointment was supposed to be for the results of her ambulatory EEG (which they do in their office) they started the appointment by asking if she had any diagnostic testing, when & where. She had it there! After waiting an hour and a half to see the doctor I ask at checkout how much longer before we see him, they had no idea where he was. The nurse practitioner came in to read us his notes except she saw he hadn’t read the EEG -6 weeks later. He intended on reading 24 hours of data during our visit. He never showed, we left without results & no answers. He failed us.

My niece was having frequent headaches. She went in for a check up with him and because she had a really bad headache and was running a fever, so he sent her to the ER. We went and they started running tests and before we were finished, he came into the room. He saw his last 2 patients of the day and came for his appt with her and saw her there. He was a great guy. Very nice. Really loved what he did and cared about his patients.
