Gave up on me after 5 months, forgetful
Frequently forgot things from my history, and even from our previous appointments, recommending trying things again that had failed miserably and then telling me he was out of ideas to help me after less than 6 months (by email, not even face-to-face). I'm looking for someone to help not someone with ideas we already tried who gives up easy.

Awful experience
Telehealth
I agree with all the negative reviews posted here. Dr. Rickin hardly engaged with our daughter and seemed only interested in writing prescriptions, as long as someone else could manage the difficult work of assessing her symptomatology and needs. When things got complicated, he managed his risk liability by advising that we call the police to forcibly take her to the ER - even though she was not at risk for harming herself or anyone else. This advice was clearly in his best interest, not hers. In fact, we thought it was harmful, if not dangerous, advice. When we refused call the police, he fired us from his practice. As a physician who has cared for a population with complex medical and psychiatric illness for 15 years and has never fired a patient, I’m astounded at how little he cares for the wellbeing of his patients.

Cares little about patients and focuses little on actual problems. All he cares about is filling his schedule and getting money. Could not have any less interest in the mental health of his patients.
