He is knowledgeable, BUT.......
Wrong choice in so many ways! Staff is horrible and a permanent revolving door. Messages do not get through to him, he doesn't schedule follow-ups, is great at sitting in the office with his computer telling you about all the possibilities, but never actually does a physical examination of whatever is ailing you, does not have any urgency to get you in to see him if you have an infection. Use him as a GP and you will find yourself in the ER more often than you have in your life because if you are really sick, he will not get you in, will not issue a prescription in a timely manner (because the staff never passes on messages to him), and you just sit there getting more and more ill until you give up and end up in the ER. Also, if you have a video or telehealth appointment, his office charges you for an in-office visit anyway. All in all, better to go without than go there!

Lucky to have him here in rural Hawaii.
He is informative, patient, a good listener and gives clear answers. Plus he is super over-worked, like all of our doctors in North Kohala. He's been our family doctor for years and we're grateful to have him.

Support staff were too inept to schedule a simple blood test required prior to the appointment with Dr. Murray.

I have not seen Doctor Murray, I'm leaving this message in hopes that I can find away to contact him to become a patient. When I call the office number to request an appointment I'm told he is not accepting new patients but several web sites say he is accepting new patients. I would like to get on a waiting list if possible, I live close to his practice in St Helens and see from his profile and review that his areas of expertise fit my needs. If he or his office staff could contact me. please

This doctor does NOT listen to his patients. If you are under 50 and having issues that an older person may have he thinks it's impossible for you to be having those issues. i.e.: ongoing chest pain,edema. Another if you are going through some sort of pain withdrawal he will not help at all. He is the most uncaring Doctor that I've had. I am no longer seeing this doctor.
