Dr. Eric Havens, DO

I was a patient for over five years. Dr. Havens is kind, smart and funny. He truly loves his job and his patients. There is usually a wait because he is going to address all of the patients complaints without making them schedule en another appointment. I was always told if I need to see him, come by, I may have to wait But he doesn’t go home until everyone is taken care of. Extremely dedicated, Dr. Havens, Sandra & Mary, if you are reading this, just know I miss you guys! Unfortunately 3,000 miles is too far of a commute for an appointment. Regards Melissa

He genuinely cares about every patient and takes his time to fully explain whatever is going on with you. I feel better every time I visit him. I also want to mention that Mary and nurse Sandra are very professional and kind and always happy to help! They make a great team and I always feel welcome and well taken care of after my visits.

I have been a patient with Dr Havens for over 20 years. He has provided me excellent care. He and his staff are personable and attentive. A few years ago Dr Havens discovered I had cancer on my saliva gland. Dr Havens found the best surgeon in Dr Joshi. I'm blessed to have these two amazing doctors in reston, va. I currently live in Frederick, md. I would never change doctors. The care is too good!

I have been a patient of Dr. Havens for over 15 years. I am a former paramedic. Besides working with lots of docs as a paramedic, I have also had lots of personal experience after suffering a number of traumatic, kinetic injuries with past employment. Without reservation, Dr. Havens is one of the best docs I have ever met or been treated by. Yes, you might experience wait times. Yes, you might encounter a billing error. After all, he is a solo practitioner, with a very busy practice, and limited support staff. If you want efficiency, go to large practice and become a number. You won't have a long wait time, but nobody will look at you as an individual patient, you are just another client number with 8.5 min discussion time with the doc before he sees the next of his 45 patients for the day. Dr. Havens is a great diagnostician, knowing when and who to recommend you. Dr. Havens provides care as it should be, not as it so often is.

I never had an appointment when I waited for LESS than 90 minutes after my scheduled time. He would sometimes rush to do tests or procedures without fully explaining them, and I did not feel he listened very well and rushed through my visits. I once had to have the same procedure re-done by a specialist because Dr. Havens did it incorrectly the first time.

I have been a patient for over 15 years. Dr. Havens always takes time to explain things and does a thorough check up when I have gone in for any reason. I always feel better about myself and my health prospects after seeing him. Also, the staff Ms. Mary and nurse Sandra are excellent. All around this is a great healthcare practice. I have confidently recommended them to friends and co- workers when asked who my doctor is and I will continue to do so. Thank you for many years of patient care

This Dr. is great in person until he screws you over in the bill. Went in for a routine visit about preventative care and to discuss birth control. He asked me a few questions "do you ever get cramps" my reply "yes". As we all no cramps are normal and happen to most women. He took it upon himself to change my visit from preventative care to and illness visit for a disease characterized by having extreme cramps a visit that no longer would have been covered by my insurance.
