Dr. Eric Czander, MD

I had 2 appointments with this doctor and have never been treated with so much disrespect from a doctor in my life. He was very condescending and demeaning to me. He didn't understand the some of my test results and scolded me for something he was wrong about. I left my second appointment with no real help and would highly recommend not seeing this doctor. Judging by the other reviews on here, 30% of his reviews are 1 star. Please consider this when deciding on the doctor you go to see.

Waited 4 mos for an appt for my mother who had a terrible fall and is in a rehab facility . Called to see if there were alternative options for being seen. Receptionist was extremely rude ! Same person that made the appointment 4 mos ago and was rude. She was very unhelpful in rescheduling and her attitude does not belong in a healthcare setting .Will not be rescheduling with this office

The receptionist was about as rude as could be. Did not answer with the name of the Dr's office... she sounded disheveled and out of breath....then hung up on me when we could not sort out the insurance questions... RUDE!!!!!

As an internist with almost 40 years experience in Arlington, I have worked with many neurologists through the years and have repeatedly been impressed with Dr. Czander's caring attitude, professional competence and intellectual curiosity. I have now experienced him as a patient and my opinion has not changed. I believe he is the best neurologist in the Northern Virginia area.

In my opinion, Dr. Czander is somewhat lacking in compassion and humility. When he was diagnosing my relative’s dementia, he kept telling him, “you’re drooling”. I was hoping for more constructive information. Also, on two occasions he incorrectly pointed out that Folic acid is vitamin B12. I had correctly written B9 on the medication list. Vitamin B12 is cobalamin, not folic acid (folate). I just looked at him, hoping he would look it up. He didn’t. Even physicians can be wrong about things, but he is not the right physician for us.

DR. Czander is a superb medical provider in his field, as a patient cared by him for over three years, I found him very professional and caring.

The doctor doesn't have much personality and provides berry little feedback which bothered me about what to expect. He diagnosed alzheimers which was wrong. My mother has Parkinsons and she was manifesting all the signs yet he failed to notice. What's particularly troubling was that for the third time he put her on a medication for alzheimers which she fell and it is known people with Parkinsons don't respond well to alzheimers drugs.

Fantastic knowledge and makes sure your total environment is geared toward improving.

Dr Czander is very thoughtful and thoughough. He always goes the extra mile to make certain your total environment is in synch for you to manager your disease. Appreciate his direct, caring and up to date bedside manner.
