Dr. Eric Coronato, DO

If I could give negative 5 star I would. I had an appointment this morning with Dr. Coronato. When the nurse came in I had a couple of simple questions, and she acted very unprofessionally and didn't seem to want to bother with and take the time to answer my questions. After it was clear she wasn't listening to me, I asked again. She left the room angry, and then loudly started telling another person about how I was being obstinate and rude. She was so loud people in the waiting room heard her. Then the doctor came in and asked me why I was 'yelling and very rude'. I didn't even come close to either. I tried to ask the doctor my question, and he said 'I'm done with you' and walked out. Then they billed us for full services. We talked with the department supervisor, and he apologized several times. And he said they wouldn't bill us. But the doctor billed it anyways. Terrible ! We (my wife was withe me) have never seen such terrible customer service and unprofessional health care

I was only ever able to see him once and he seemed competent and attentive to the issues I was having but…The problem is the staff. Over a period of almost 3 weeks I left several messages with his nurse to call me regarding my medication and I have heard absolutely nothing. After about a dozen calls, one trip in to the office (they are apparently only open Thursday’s at my location), and a call to the business office with a request to send a message to Dr Coronato’s nurse to call me back I finally reached a live person. Unfortunately after explaining all of the trouble I have had and that I have not yet been able to start the medication because of it the receptionist told me to “call and leave another message for the nurse” and that basically, they are too busy and short staffed to do anything else to help me.As a patient and an RN I can’t recommend. What good is a Dr or clinic that refuses to communicate with their patients and acts put upon when asked for help?

Dr. Eric Coronato and staff you truly are a blessing. I have been a patient of Dr. Eric Coronato for a few years now and I can not begin to express fully in words the gratitude for Dr. Coronato and his staff. I had a Vasectomy produce performed by this amazing group of professionals. They are without a doubt a true blessing in everyway possible. I do not care for the hospital scene as many are and needles. Ugh. But l will share with you that from the beginning Dr. Eric Coronato and his staff made me feel so at ease and as comfortable as I could possibly be. They have the best bed side manners, compassion, understanding, thorough attention to details and absolute concern for my visit there. I can not even begin to put in full words the gratefulness and respect I have for everyone in the office and at Gulf Pointe Surgical Center. He is in my opinion the best Urologist Doctor ever from beginning to end. Search no more. Trust me I will always continue to go to him and his staff. Thank you

Although Dr Coronato seems a good and professional practitioner, the staff has a lot to improve upon. Specially the receptionists. Impossible to directly talk to or contact outside a schedule appointment.

Thorough and experienced

Been seeing Dr. Coronato for a few years now and am very satisfied with his level of care. He is very thorough and very easy to talk to.

He goes above and beyond in caring for his patients and their family members. He has been treating my husband for bladder and prostate cancer for 2 years. I wish all doctors cared for their patients like Dr Coronato does.

Doctor Coronato And his office staff Are very professional And very helpful with all questions I would recommend this in fact I have recommended him To my family I said a good job to The whole office

Dr. Coronato and his staff were great. Had a vasectomy done and it was no problem. Just a little normal discomfort. Dr. Coronato made me feel comfortable, talked me through it and is highly intelligent. I felt safe and comfortable with Dr. Coronato. He listens and responds respectfully and truthfully. I don't think these one star ratings about this Dr. are fair.

After my general practitioner found something that needed to be checked he referred me to Dr. Coronato. There was no wait time on either of my visits. The staff is friendly and efficient. I found Dr. Coronato to the point, detail-oriented and efficient. I wonder if some of the reviewers expect the doctor to sit around and chat about the weather. Good doctors are busy for a reason. I am so glad that my general practitioner referred me to Dr. Coronato. A++

1st. Kidney stone he was rude to me in hospital. I prejudged him,, 2nd time I had stones he came to ER and I almost refused him, so glad I didn’t .. He is a very smart man and he does care about his patients. We have to try to put ourselves in his shoes. I will always respect him and he is my forever Dr. I know he will be there when I need him.

More interested in moving on to the next customer than dealing with the one in front of him.

Dr.Coronato told if I don't come for my biopsy on Friday the 18 of Oct 2019 I will have to look for another Urologist.

It sucked

My initial visit to see Dr. Coronato was excellent. Desk personnel were friendly and efficient. Dr. Coronato was extremely very nice and did a thorough review of family history and what my best options are at this time. The initial visit was NOT rushed as he took time discuss everything. Feel very confident I picked the correct urologist in the area to keep me healthy and take care of serious needs if and when they occur. 1 to 10----rate a 10!!!

Dr. Eric Coronato saved my life. Cancer is an intimidating foe. This doctor refuses to be intimidated. For over two years now, Dr. Coronato has been treating me and has been winning. He is ably supported by a professional, caring and knowledgeable staff. Hardly a day goes by that I don't thank my lucky stars for Dr. Eric and Gulf Coast Urology. Jim Palumbo

Dr Coronato is a great and caring physician. The staff was very friendly and caring as well. Was greeted and made to feel very welcomed. Overall it was a great visit and I would highly recommend The Drs.

The Doctor is great, but his staff is the worst I've dealt with. For that reason I'll never go back, and will definitely let my friends know to go elsewhere.

Liked the Dr. but was never greeted upon entering office, found the initial contact person at desk to be rude, not friendly at 2 appointments. Not good first impression. Will not return to this office.
