Rude and dismissive
He never wanted to listen to my questions or concern to alleviate my anxiety He treated me like a crazy hypochondriac or something when I’m only trying to get answers about what to expect. Will never go back to this Dr if you can even call him that

Wonderful to work with
As my mom's oncologist, Dr. Chen has always had a warm and friendly demeanor. He is both very knowledgeable and listens to his patients. He helped my mom through the diagnosis stages, and helped her work through side effects of a targeted inhibitor drug- and her lung cancer has gone into remission. He was flexible to set up video visits when she wasn't able to come into the hospital

Poor care practices. NEVER did an exam, never palpated for lymph nodes. Administered chemo with labs at critically low levels and totally brushed off any questions as flippant.

Dr. Chen was all smiles but no substance. He didn't take the time to TALK to us, just skimmed the info in reports and couldn't wait to get us out of his office.

Dealing with very rare Cancer, but this is life & death, Dr should have done some research. There is new treatment w/ 100% success rate using known medicine off label. There are studies at reputable medical schools in US and abroad doing work on this. He knew nothing about it, yet it is all over the internet & in scholarly journals. Disappointed that we had to do the digging, contact the doctors' in studies and follow through. Not going back, thank g d Group Health allows 2nd opinion.

Upon meeting Dr. Chen for the first time, we liked him. At our second visit he was quite positive about my mom's returning lung cancer. He stated that she had a good two years without any chemo. We discussed treatments to lengthen that time. A week later, he called my mom, but this time with completely different information. This was not based on any new tests. He did not take the time to talk to her very long or show any compassion as his bio reads. He told her she had 8-10 months to live.
