Very disappointing
I had to bring my 9 year old into the ER and unfortunately Dr Browner was on that day. Sadly, he had no bedside manner with my daughter who was so scared. To make things worse, the ER was relatively empty and yet we still waited over an hour and a half before he came in. He barely spent 3 minutes with us and then we didn't see him for another 2 hours. He spent more time chatting at the nurses station than seeing patients. Very disappointing. If I ever have to visit a pediatric ER, I will go to Hackensack and will not return to Valley because of him.

Offensive Bedside Manner
My 20 yr old daughter came in for an exhausting cough that has lasted over 3 weeks. At this point we were getting concerned and came into Valley Hospital in Ridgewood. Dr. Browner entered the room with a dismissive stance, arms crossed and shaking his head. He was very cold and rolled his eyes at my daughter when she told him she felt awful. He proceeded to talk over me when I explained that we were coming back from the Dominican Republic and did not want to see a doctor overseas. Overall he was not helpful.

I took my son to the ER after he had COVID and was still running a fever 11 days into it. Dr. Browner was very calm, friendly but professional, put my son (and me) at ease, answered all our questions. It turned out that my son had contracted two other viruses in the common cold category, which is exactly what Dr. Browner suspected at the start of our visit. Awesome doctor.

Dr. Eric Browner saw my 13 year old daughter who was sent to the ER for fluids after 24 hours of stomach bug. When he saw her and listened to her describe her symptoms, Dr. Browner was convinced she had appendicitis. After 2 ultra sounds couldn't confirm his suspicions, he ordered a cat scan. That's when he saw a perforated appendix. Nearly 12 hours after first seeing her, she received an emergency appendectomy. Surgeons said she was a very sick little girl. Thank God Dr. Browner never gave up!
