Misdiagnoses without evaluation
I wasn't evaluated or told about the misdiagnoses until months later. I was flabbergasted to hear "bipolar witb psychotic tendencies". Dr. Tello knew nothing about me, he arbritrarilly presumed "bipolar with psychotic tendencies" since that's a go-to label.

Dr. Tello was my Dr for a while before I moved out of CT. He was & still is the greatest Dr I’ve ever had. He cares and has a wonderful personality, unlike most Drs that lack any type of human emotion.

I saw Tello for 7 years; anxiety and dep. he started me on Prozac, ability&klonopin. Through my years with him, he did not do much with my ongoing medications, even if I told him I felt depressed over weeks at a time. Became pregnant June2018. I told Tello so he could start thinking of medications that would be safe for the baby as well. Well, he ended taking me off all of my medications cold turkey. I ended up being hospitalized 2x in 2 months and now see new psychiatrist and do ECT treatment

I would strongly recommend you avoid this man. I went to him for medication only and he ended up harassing me telling me that I reminded him of a semi-psychotic former patient of his which is absurd. I have no problem beyond generalized anxiety disorder and that is heavily documented. Tello's behavior was odd, very odd. It went beyond professionally questionable behavior well into the area of egregious insult. This guy is a nut. Brent H Barnett

I would warn anyone considering Dr. Tello for therapy. He was completely uninformed about the proper dosage of my medication and unaware of the counter effects of other medications on it.Despite my request for him to research the information, he did not even perform his due diligence and even rudely refused to look at the information I had researched extensively.I had taken the medication in the past at a much higher dosage and knew my response to the medication. He argued w/me instead of helping
