Is this how you treat you veterans??
My father is a veteran and recently started with Dr. Mullins. My father has chronic pain with over 10 surgeries on his foot, chronic back pain, shoulder pain etc. My father came to Dr. Mullins with all of his medications already established from the previous VA out of state. He is on low dose pain meds, so it’s not as though he is taking these in excess. During his first visit Dr. Mullins took one of the pain medications away, with no explanation. The doctor did not ask him about his pain, or offer any alternatives. He is now trying to take away his other pain medication. Again, without explanation, or offering alternatives. I am a doctor myself, and I am absolutely appalled at the care of my father is receiving. He is not some drug addict, or drug seeking. He truly needs this pain medication. If the doctor was trying to use an opioid free technique then he should’ve explain that clearly to the patient and offered alternatives. Neither of those were done. Again I am appalled with this
