Dr. Emmanuel Boakye, MD

Dr Boakye has been my primary care doctor for well over a decade. I found him to be caring, thorough and insightful. Always professional. One caveat, he tends to be behind and frequently runs a little late.

I've seen Dr Boakye a few times now. Each time he seemed rushed. He didnt seem attentive to what I was saying and wanted to move along to the next patient. He ordered some investigative testing and left me with the nurses. After the tests were conducted I was informed I would receive the results by phone later that day. I did not receive a phone call. I did however receive the results through metro health My Chart app. I called the office because I had questions about the test results. The nurse took my information and said Dr Boakye would follow up. I did not receive a follow up call. I emailed through the My Chart app asking my questions about the test results. Again there was no reply. We are all told to not rely on Dr Google, well I only had information from web searches to answer my questions because Dr Boakye has never gotten back to me.

I saw Dr. Boakye and was very pleased with the visit. He was thorough, intelligent, and attentive. I was having depression issues and he started me on a new med. I have a follow up visit in a month. I found him very knowledgble, trustworthy, and sympathetic. In all my years of doctor appts., I never expect them to be on time. Anyone who does it setting themselves up for aggrevation and disappointment.

He was given to me for a Primary Care Dr. He told me only 1 issue per visit, he changed my meds without doing testing, messed up refills and took 6 days for him to address it, and still are wrong. He was very short with me and told me short answers only. I have many health issues and he did not want to talk about them and to make separate appts. Now my health has gone down hill in one week due to med changes. I will never deal with him again.
