Dr. Emily Deleon, MD

Dr . Deleons qualifications appear to be more a product of nepotism than genuine competence. It is disheartening to see individuals like her, who seemingly ride on the coattails of their family’s medical background, being entrusted with such significant responsibilities.She exhibited a level of rudeness and ineptitude that is simply unacceptable in the medical profession.

This practitioner desperately needs to take some courses in patient care and simple just needs to care more about the wellbeing of her clients. It’s evident that this provider lacks compassion, and competence in caring for others. She was extremely rude, rushed and cavalier. Strong arming me to take more medication and pills to “treat” my symptoms while disregarding my discomfort with medication. It’s convenient for her to prescribe medication rather than actually take the time to ask what her client needs. She is adding to the epidemic of careless and pompous medical professionals that prefer to take the easy route of prescribing rather than listening. Please don’t go to this provider if you value your time! She has a horrible rating for a reason.

I had a deeply disappointing experience with Dr. DeLeon, who advertises herself as a high-risk pregnancy specialist. Despite this, she saw me only once and scheduled me with a nurse for subsequent visits. She never discussed a personalized birth plan for me and my specific circumstances, which made me feel disregarded as a patient. Her lack of responsiveness to emails and condescending attitude, including an unfounded accusation of being on Medicaid despite my timely payment of tens of thousands of dollars in medical bills, was extremely disheartening. Dr. DeLeon demonstrated a complete lack of compassion. When I asked if my baby would survive, she simply shrugged and said, "We don't know." My concerns about the potential need for an emergency C-section and my fear of abdominal surgery were met with indifference. She made no effort to provide informed consent about the risks of over-medication leading to emergencies in her practice. It seemed easier for her to dismiss my concerns than to address them. Even after my baby spent 19 days in the NICU, she refused to discuss the details of my pregnancy until I lodged a complaint. This level of care is unacceptable for someone who claims to specialize in high-risk pregnancies. Dr. DeLeon's rude and condescending behavior, coupled with her lack of compassion, left me feeling unsupported during a critical time.

Seemed annoyed and became dismissive when I asked specific questions about birth, labor, and postpartum. Would not recommend, especially for a first time mom for whom all things pregnancy are new and scary.

Although listed as a gyn/ob for older women, was told to ask my Primary Care Physician about Osteoporsis that she doesn't deal with that & offered no information. Also, did not do a full pelvic exam
