Dr. Emelina Goyco, MD

I have no doubt that they were a decent pediatrician, but my lasting impressions about my visits with Dr. Goyco were about how tactless, nosy, and judgmental she was. Sadly, I get the feeling that people (mainly kids 18 and under, and obviously their parents) interpreted those aspects of hers as 'caring' and 'sincere' instead, probably due to general nervousness with 'going to the doctor's office,' or what have you. Was it necessary to ask 'dO yoU hAvE a gIrLfrIenD' when I was still in middle school? (How awfully presumptive of her, too...) Was it necessary to ask about my late father's cause of death during high school, after saying I had a loss in the family upon being asked, 'How's my family doing?' Was it necessary for you to make presumptive, stereotypical comments about my university of choice, my major, and my chosen path? Sure, I'm glad she 'cared' enough to ask, but what she had to say was often mildly inappropriate. Good to hear she's retired and-or permanently closed, hah.
