Dr. Ember Ewings, MD

When Dr Ember Ewings took over another doctor’s practice there was no transparency. She did not contact established clients and denied them the ability to utilize prepaid services and gift certificates in her medispa business that she also took over from the previous doctor/owner. Her staff had originally said it would work out and an appointment was made for me to use one of my prepaid services. In the middle of my service I was told I would have to pay for that service I already paid for. Dr Ewings refused to meet to discuss this and I was told by her staff that their accountant would decide about the utilization of my prepaid services. The staff would not return phone messages. She and her staff were unprofessional and lacked integrity. I seriously question their judgment, sincerity and competence.

After consult with Dr. Ewings when she was at Marshfield Clinic, I consulted for a referred medically necessary procedure. My insurance covered through Marshfield Clinic, but her RUDE nurse insisted I needed a prior auth. I got the runaround for 2 weeks only to be told the auth was denied. I consulted another local plastic surgeon. His office staff was wonderful & within 24 hrs, I had the authorization and surgery within 3 weeks. Because she appeared so caring, and her nurse wouldn't let me talk to her to discuss, I felt Dr Ewings was in the dark about it. I called and scheduled a consultation at her new clinic with a 3-month wait for a procedure we had previously discussed that she explained she had done multiple times. Days before my appointment was scheduled, I was called by office staff telling me she decided she wasn't going to do that procedure anymore. I was left to start all over with my search again with 3 months wasted .... Trust in this practice is gone.

Dr. Ewings is amazing. She is caring, professional, funny, and absolutely talented. I am eternally grateful for the work she did on me, and would recommend her without question. We are really lucky to have her in this area! She deserves 10 stars!
