Glad he's on my side
The appointments are quick which is great for me. He takes care of my medications and I see a therapist who spends an hour each visit just talking with me. She helps me unload as well as suggest which items I need to share with Alshami. Mental health is serious and requires a team and I am very confident with my team. If you're seeing Alshami for an initial or even follow up visit ask him to recommend a therapist that can provide additional support.

I had Dr. Alshami as my "Doctor" in a hospital. He met me for less than 1 minute each day, sometimes he only asked me how i was doing and walked away within 10-20 seconds. He sends a bill of $85 for 7 days while only meeting with me for a total of 4-5 minutes in a 7-day period. Without insurance, this guy would have charged $1144. I have proof on a bill but this website won't let me post a photo. One of the worst psychiatrist that claims the bill was reasonable because he "looked" at my charts with other nurses.

My daughter has been seeing Dr. Alshami for a year.I will NEVER step foot in his office again. My daughter is dealing with 2 very serious mental conditions. The one time I didn't come to her appt. He said to her I was "controlling" and was in no uncertain terms "glad" I was not with her. Mentally ill people need others to speak for them when they can't fully explain their symptoms and what is going on. You get 5 min w/ doc so speak fast otherwise you're gone. Unprofessional & uncalled for.

I have been seeing a psychiatrist for 12 years. Alshami is not a psychiatrist. My former psychiatrist spent 45 min to an hour with me each visit, caring about my mental health. Alshami simply asks how are things, writes a script and walks you out. Recently when patients had decreased I went from seeing him every 3 months to him giving me no refills so I could then pay them more. His wife once told me I was not needed and hung up on me. Mental health should be more important than money.
