Great Doctor!
Dr Esrig has been my doctor for 15 years. I don't agree with the negative reviews. It's not her job to tell me what I want to hear. When we've disagreed, she's reasonable and makes good faith arguments. Dr Esrig is kind and diligent, 5 stars.

Is great if you want a referral
Personally I like her, but she does nothing herself. She is great for a referral to someone else. But everything extra makes her uncomfortable and she would rather you go elsewhere.

Straightforward and to the point
I've seen Dr. Esrig for 5+ years now and have to add a review here. She's very matter of fact, efficient, and to the point. She's always on time to my appointments. I can see how some people may want a more warm and friendly demeanor, but I appreciate her directness and have never felt shamed, judged, or neglected by her. She always listens intently during appointments and clearly presents her thoughts and recommendations.

I went to Dr. Esrig only a few times, but largely because she always seemed pained to see me and blamed all my issues and concerns on my weight. Ignoring my documented metabolic disorder she told me to just lose weight. I felt fat-shamed, not supported.

I stopped seeing Dr. Esrig because she was so rude! I had seen her for 3-4 years and I just got tired of being treated so poorly. I moved to a new Dr. in the office and LOVE this Dr. and that was an eye-opener, so this is how Dr. patient is supposed to be like. Dr. Esrig's nurses were really nice and I love this office but not a fan of this Dr.

I have seen Dr. Esrig now 2-3 years and I am no more than a body that walks thru the door. No more. She simply goes through the motions and carries out exactly what the visit is scheduled for. My last visit I mentioned a serious condition diagnosed by specialist she had referred me to and got zero reaction. She expressed not one iota of curiosity. She certainly doesn’t need diagnostic skills-at the slightest whiff of a ailment-shes got a specialist she wants me to see and forget about any prescriptions that I had been getting from her. Now I have to get them from a specialist. As another reviewer put it more bluntly, she’s stupid. I would add lazy. She barely makes eye contact while busily typing away at the computer. I wholeheartedly agree with another reviewer that she’s judgmental, rude, disrespectful. I don’t need a doctor who in her tone and demeanor, treats me like a petulant child.

I was a patient of Dr. Esrig’s for more than ten years. She always provided excellent care, managing my asthma and seeing me for annual physicals and many other medical issues over the years. She is wonderfully direct and thorough. Comparing year-to-year blood test results, she identified an abnormality that turned out to be due to an aggressive tumor that, thanks to the early detection, was removed before it spread beyond the primary site. You will not find a better primary care physician.

The best thing I can say about Dr. Esrig is that she's judgemental. Beyond that, she's rude, disrespectful, arrogant, and, ultimately, simply stupid. How did she ever get through medical school?

Dr.Esrig was extremely attentive and very personable. She spent time listening to my concerns and asked the appropriate questions and was very much aware of the resources and referrals that would benefit me the most. She was also able to get me in for an office visit the same day. She is quite possibly the best doctor I have seen!

I have been going to Dr. Esrig since a friend recommended her years ago. Her office location is very convenient for anyone in the loop/downtown area and the office is often able to fit me in for last minute. She takes the time with her patients to understand what is going on and I have never felt rushed. She has helped me adjust medicines that weren't working, after asking probing questions which led us to determine a change was needed and she has recommend me to doctors when appropriate.
