Dr. Elliott Fried, MD

I tried to take a food toy away from my dog and he bit me badly. My hand was bleeding profusely. In the ER, Dr Fried quickly cleansed the bite and examined the wound for foreign bodies like portions of teeth. He took X-rays (no broken bones), numbed my hand, and probed the wound more deeply for lurking trouble. Then he began suturing. It didn’t hurt AT ALL! The stitches closed the deepest wound area; there was flap damage, but that couldn’t be sutured. He used a non-adhesive gauze pad (doubled) and wrapped the hand, recommending I go to the Wound Center within a few days to make sure it was okay since it wasn’t a sterile wound. He also prescribed Augmenten to fight any possible bacterial infection. I’ve had many surgeries, and Dr. Freud did a great job, and his notes were in my AdventHealth folder within an hour. Five stars.

He was horrible. Went to the ER and he did absolutely nothing. He was not solution oriented. Nothing was done at my ER stay and it was the fastest most worthless visit I’ve had. I had pneumonia and my after visit summary paper said “acute cough,” and nothing about pneumonia. I didn’t feel listened to, heard, or empathized with. The ER I went to is probably the least busy one in the kc metro area, and I yet I was received little care, no tests, no IV, no blood work, nothing. He was horrible and visit was worthless.
