The best!
Dr. Scherl is one of those rare doctors who is not hyper-focused on her specialty and the GI issue you have. Of course, she is an amazing GI and excellent in addressing GI issues and concerns. And looks at overall GI health (despite her subspecialty) to make sure there are no ancillary GI issues which could affect the primary condition. I thank her for keeping to her word from 2001 that my condition is mild and she will keep it that way. But she goes beyond that to make sure her patient is taking care of complete healthcare, for overall health. She listens, advises, is reassuring, and is simply amazing.

Cares About the Patient, Not Just the Data
Dr. Scherl sees me once every one to two years yet makes me feel like she knows me better than those infrequent visits might suggest. She asks about my general well-being and refers to notes from my other physicians. Then she thoroughly reviews the results of the latest diagnostic procedure compared to previous data. I always leave feeling well-informed and well cared for.

I am very grateful to Dr. Scherl for the excellent care that she's provided to me. She's attentive and thorough. Dr. Scherl is an excellent IBD specialist.
Dr. Scherl has been my GI for over a decade. And her commitment to my care - especially my most recent visit, which she squeezed in as an emergency after I called at 5am in severe pain - is clear and deeply appreciated. She is straightforward, but not an alarmist. I would recommend her to anyone seeking a superb GI diagnostician. Side note: the registered dietitian in her office, Ryan Warren, is excellent.
