No compassion. I am afraid I may have a serious condition and scheduled a visit to have a referral to a colonoscopy. I arrived 10 mins late. Besides letting her know of my case and I need urgent referral. She proposed to reschedule in 2 months. No compassion.

Was good until recently...
Dr. Vandergriff is a great doctor but the office has been TERRIBLE since they changed from Preston Medical Associates to Avance. We had a monthly payment plan through Preston that didn't carry over to Avance (without our knowledge) so they sent us to collections with HUNDREDS of dollars in late charges. And now if you call the office, they can't/won't do a thing about it. I hate to leave Dr. V but I think it might be time to move on.

Dr. Elizabeth Vandergriff, and her entire staff are the most professional, caring, and kindest people you will ever meet. Dr. Vandergriff was quick to resolve my issue, and thoughtfully followed up to see how I was doing. When I thought that I potentially had COVID, the nurse practitioner Carolyn Berlin, came out in full hazmat gear, tested me, answered all of my questions, and also followed up to make sure that I was ok. Dr. Vandergriff's entire practice goes above and beyond any other office I've ever visited! If you are looking for a top doctor to see in Cary, look no further!

I have been going to this practice for many years. I would definitely recommend the practice overall, but I have had mixed experiences with Dr. Vandergriff. At times, her bedside manner has been kind and compassionate, but at other times her communication style has felt abrasive to me. On one occasion, I was brought to tears in an appointment when she implied that I was lying (I was not). Overall, I would recommend the practice, but that one experience was unfortunate and somewhat traumatic to me as a patient.

I love Dr. Vandergriff, but the nurses she employs (and other medical staff, as well) can be a challenge. Recently, the office has insisted on two labs a year for med refills. this is not covered by insurance and has never been an issue before. I don't know what to make of this sudden change and the new nurse has not been cooperative...really wondering if I can afford the out of pocket to keep my doctor.

This review is about this practice as a whole, not just Dr. Vandergriff. It's very hard getting them to call you back, get refills, and get lab results. After being left without medication several times for several days at a time on weekends and during a snow storm, I've had to change doctors. I can't even say it's just the staff that's incompetent. I have been in the medical field for a lot of years, and I'm very disappointed in this practice.

There is nothing more frustrating than a doctor that doesn't listen to you when you are telling them you don't feel right. I know my body and I know when something is wrong. Zero resolution. A complete waste of my time and money.

Dr. Vandergriff is a nice doctor and person to talk to but this practice is more concerned with making money rather than helping its patients. I am unemployed and struggling to pay for my health insurance. I needed my prescription allergy medicine refilled and Dr. Vandergriff would not re-fill it even though I had been in her office 2 months prior. This practice is more concerned with how it looks rather than serving it's paying patients.

Dr. Vandergriff has been my personal physician for over 15 years. She is a like a member of my family and I have never experienced more personal service or care. I would not trade her for the world.
