Most unpleasant experience...
Dr. Lycette walked into an exam room at Boulder Community's geriatric clinic a few weeks ago. I’m 73 and I was there for my annual wellness exam. I had recently changed my PC to a geriatrician, because, as an elder I thought I would receive more focused care from a specialist - so this was our first meeting. You can imagine my shock - she wasn’t in the room 10 seconds - when this doctor verbally assaulted me. Because I’m a former smoker, she thought she had the right to belittle and shame me. As a final stroke, she summed up my 73 years as a life of hypocrisy. Before I retired I worked in health care my entire life, and I have never witnessed, or been the victim of such a display of cruelty and arrogance towards a vulnerable patient. On a far better note, her NP was compassionate and professional which this MD was unable to pull off.

Gives more time for your visit than normal. Always asks if you have more questions before she ends the session. Listens very well. Sometimes takes your suggestions for care. Best doctor I have ever had. She is very much in demand so sometimes it is difficult to get in to see her.

Love, love love her. She is so caring. No other Dr. That I've previously seen has taken the time to find out what's wrong with me! And, she does not give up.
