Dr. Elizabeth Lapeyre, MD

Dr Lapeyre told me I “brought breast cancer on myself by choosing to have a child after 30 and only one pregnancy.” I was shocked! She did not ask if I had fertility issues and treatments. She scolded me for being obese I’m actually slightly overweight. She told me that the over 10,000 steps a day I worked hard to achieve after surgery was worthless, went on and on about how she runs and does yoga every day. She bragged about having 5 kids while having a medical career and doing everything herself. I received no help with issues following cancer treatment, no medical advice. The whole appointment was inappropriate and I was very uncomfortable. Perhaps her comments about when and how many children I had were politically motivated given recent political discourse. I left in tears receiving no help. It is hard enough to deal with cancer. I didn’t deserve to be treated this way.

Tara, her nurse, is unhelpful and speaks to patients with disrespect. This made me reflect on Dr Lapeyre’s treatment, and it was also unhelpful. They don’t seem to care for their patients and to address individual situations but get you out the door or off the phone as fast as possible. Women’s health is not one size fits all and women deserve to be heard and cared for. Didn’t happen here for me.

Dr Lapeyre and staff were very nice.

Been a patient for many years. Always friendly and staff is nice. Great bed side manner. Dr. Lapaye delivered my first grand baby also. Hope she stays around along time.
